Winteringham Fields
Winteringham Fields restaurant in Winteringham, a rural Lincolnshire village, is one of the best restaurants in Britain. But don’t take our word: let the Michelin star, the five AA rosettes, the shelves-ful of awards speak for themselves. And chef Robert Thompson is only 23 years old. Winteringham Fields is a 16th century manor house, beautifully decorated and set in rambling country gardens. It feels individual and secret and has an ambience to rival Europe’s finest. Swiss-French Thompson uses only fresh local produce, from game and fish to veg and herbs from the restaurant’s own gardens, to work his magic. This is many-coursed dining with amuse-bouches, entr’actes, and brilliant finales. Discreet service, stunning wines. Parfait.

Restaurant Group Information
Winteringham Fields restaurant’s private dining room is as elegant as the swagged and draped main dining room. With charming chandelier, shelves of books and a sense of quiet luxury, the private dining room seats up to 10 easily. Small weddings are held here in high style. But larger events are entirely possible, too: not long ago Lexus covered the car park with a marquee and launched its new LS460 while the chef created an international buffet and champagne flowed. Think big.
