Village East
Village East restaurant in London’s historic, madly active Bermondsey calls to mind the East Village establishments we infest in Manhattan. It sprawls through a listed warehouse and glass-fronted apartment building and is decorated in polished concrete, rough wooden pillars, snazzy curving white chairs, and a wide open kitchen. You can watch Darryl Healy, formerly with The Savoy and Australia’s The Radii, hard at work there creating his modern European menu. Some dishes are made for sharing between two – a romantic touch. Village East starters include seared scallops and caramelised pork belly, carrot purée, teriyaki glaze; mains include Chateaubriand (for 2) with green beans, chateau potatoes and béarnaise; desserts include a delicious crème brûlée. Great bars. Chilled vibe.

Restaurant Group Information
Your guests will be wowed at your private meal, launch or event at Village East when you book the exclusive Little Room, seating up to 18. The décor is extremely now, with pools of light from the intriguing donut-shaped fixtures landing on modern tables and chairs and scrubbed wooden floors. Business types will make use of the ISDN line, projection screen and tv/video link. Everyone will ease into the relaxed ambience and the modern eclectic cooking of Martin Caws. Try starter of confit rabbit with celeriac puree, cucumber ribbons and pistachio, main course of pot roast lamb rump with lamb consommé and baby veg, and dessert of red wine and strawberry jelly.
Groups between 11 and 15 are required to order from a reduced a la carte menu (this is not the same menu as the special offer we’re running with you at the moment).
Groups of 16 or more are required to order from a set menu.

There is a room hire rate for the Little Room of £50 (Sun-Wed)
and £100 (Thu-Sat). Please note that Room hire will be charged at the time of booking, and is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled with less than 2 weeks notice.
Please be aware that no children are permitted in Village East after 6pm.
A credit card may be required for larger parties.
Last orders for lunch are at 3:30pm Mon - Fri and 4pm Sat & Sun. Last orders for dinner are at 9:30pm Sun -Thu and 10:30pm Fri & Sat.
