The Spice Cube restaurant in the heart of Newcastle city centre is what being Indian is all about: modern, chic, now. This is casual, sophisticated dining in an eye-catching space at the top of The Gate leisure complex. The colours are curry and pomegranate with a gleaming glass-sided staircase, modern seating, space age lighting and design everywhere. Highly-respected chef Dinesh Rawat creates a menu of these-you-have-loved favourites and modern inventions and his gourmet nights really show what the kitchen can do. The lounge is a perfect spot to start and end your evening with modern Punjabi Zee music on the plasma screens. Professional, discreet service, kidz menu, and beautifully presented dishes. The Spice Cube is no square.
