Part of the popular Lace Market redevelopment. As classy as its siblings in the burgeoning national chain, this Living Room features a spotless polished dark wood interior, elegant leather sofas, subtle lighting and lots of light. Especially in the first floor restaurant where a glass atrium floods the white seating and large pot plants with natural daylight. An eclectic menu offers all sorts of tempting dishes. What they sell the most of are the duck spring rolls, and Thai salmon fishcake starters, followed by smoked salmon fillet with olive crushed potato for the main course. The smart dining area at the back of the bar – home to a frequently-played baby grand piano – can be booked for sit-down groups of up to 28. Upstairs, the main dining room offers 102 covers, although smaller groups can book one or any combination of the cosy booths. Full range of group menus to choose from, from a la carte to finger food. Well-priced a la carte wine list. Eight wines change monthly. Children accompanied by an adult are welcome in the restaurant until 9pm after which it’s over 18s only. Separate children’s menu. Disabled access to the bar only. Open seven days a week.
