Tamarind
Tamarind, the Michelin starred restaurant in Mayfair, is one of London's most sophisticated Indian dining experiences. The chic, gold-accented dining room is elegant, yet comfortable and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Chef Alfred Prasad is renowned for his originality and his seasonal menus put a fabulous modern spin on traditional Southern and North-West Indian cuisine. House specialties include steamed king fish stir fried with mustard, lentils, turmeric and coconut; chicken in tomatoes, fenugreek, ginger and green chillies; and seekh kebabs cooked in the Tandoor. For dessert, don't miss the cardamom rice pudding. Staff are warm and professional and are happy to advise on the dishes & wines.
