Sakana Sushi Lounge
Ferndale's newest culinary offering - Sakana Sushi Lounge is something distinct and was recently named the Best Sushi in Metro Detroit.
The sushi is devine and reasonably priced. Sakana offers a large menu with your standard sushi, but also a variety of house specials. All the fish is very fresh and is overnighted daily from Hawaii. Sushi is not the only treat being served, Sakana serves up all your favorite adult spirits and features an extensive Sake Martini Menu.
The decor is Clean, sleek and roomy inside with wraparound, stylish, high-backed booths along the north wall, and several lounge style communal eating areas in the front and rear (with coffee tables surrounded by cushy benches, couches, and stools). Also, 2 high-top standing tables and approximately a dozen places at the bar. Its wide-open layout and edgy design aesthetics lend an uber-trendy dynamic to the dining room and is packed on the weekends.
