Pause Bar in the City of London has the young City suits and PAs voting with their feet – they return time and again for the excellent lunchtime food and service, the irresistible happy hour drinks specials, and the club-like end-of-week ambience on Thursdays and Fridays. The décor is smart and design-consicous, with cosy booths and squashy sofas, and a dramatic combination of dark and light neutral colour scheme. Lunchtime specials change weekly, but the menu couldn’t exist without the signature BBQ Pork Stack. Pause Bar can be hired for private events with DJs, ice sculptures, chocolate fountains and anything else you need and late opening is possible, too.
