Kavi
The newest addition to the Midlands’ long and distinguished list of Indian restaurants is Kavi, which opened on July 28th 2007 with a desire to be different from the standard Asian fare. Upon entering the restaurant, expect to be greeted by luxurious contemporary decoration complete with a black granite waterfall whilst classic Bollywood cinema is played on Kavi’s own projector screen. The restaurant’s fine furnishings have all been imported directly from India, and the menu is similarly inspired, with the Punjabi Jhinga (charcoal grilled tiger prawns in a Greek yoghurt) coming highly recommended amidst the other delights of a menu peppered with both traditional and more up to date Indian dishes.
