Darbucka
Darbucka bar in Clerkenwell has a fabulous concept. They serve fresh Lebanese cuisine on 2 levels. The upstairs restaurant features a mix of high and low tables, perfect for sampling the menu. Downstairs in the World Music Bar, the lighting becomes shadowy, the culture aural, with live world music that will pull you up out of your soft, low seating and get you dancing – or even belly-dancing. Down here, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve wandered into a luxurious Bedouin tent: the walls are lined with red fabrics, colourful drapes shimmer in the glow of the lamps, and shisha pipes complete the Eastern feel. Fancy a themed Arabian Nights party? Darbucka is just the place, and they’ll organise it for you. But even if you just want an ordinary party in an out-of-the-ordinary venue, you can take over the restaurant for up to 70 people sitting down or 100 standing. Downstairs is even bigger, with space for 80 seated and 200 standing. If you’re feeling particularly full of Eastern promise, you can also book the exotic tent area, which holds up to 40 people.

Entrance to the world music bar on Fridays and Saturdays costs £5.00 (with belly dancer and DJ- great party night out).
Other cover charges of £5 - £10 apply a couple of times a month, when special entertainment is organised
