Reviews of Zest

3 of us dined at Zest on Wed 27th August. We requested a window seat via the toptable reservation, which was waiting for our arrival. The staff were chatty, helpful and efficient and the food was spot on and good value for money. Defo worth another visit.

Returned to Zest yet again but this time we brought twelve friends along. Everyone thought the food was great and will now become regular customers like us ~ if only we weren't 200 miles away!! Still next time we visit Edinburgh we'll be back at Zest.

Another excellent meal at Zest ~ we will be back next week with TWELVE friends!! Our reputation as well as that of Zest is at stake. We are confident our friends will enjoy this place as much as we do.

The food and service at Zest were great. The only down point for us was very echo-y acoustics which, coupled with an impossibly noisy table dining at the same time, made it virtually impossible to hear what we were saying. Lovely place though and, especially with the Special Offer, fantastic value. We will be back!

Zest Restaurant, good food, portions maybe too large, but great value for money. Staff friendly and attentive, will visit again.

Food was fine, service was good also, v friendly waiters. Toilets smelt quite strongly of mould, were reasonably clean. Waiter mentioned there had been a large group in for lunch, might have been best just to give the toilets a spruce up before the evening customers. They were also surprised we had booked through TT for a Friday night. All in all we probably would return.

Zest - Edinburgh. Food is excellent, but I have to admit I was expecting something a little more contemporary. The tables looked a little cheap and were VERY sticky which did slightly put me off. However, the service was excellent and the staff very polite.

Zest is our new favourite curry house. We were accompanied by a friend who was brought up in Bombay who knows and loves Indian food and he agrees with my assessment 100%. The food is extraordinary and the service friendly and first class. House wine is very reasonably priced and the whole experience is great value for money. Top marks and very highly recommended. We returned for more two days later!

Had high expectations following other reviews on here. Having eaten, it all seemed very average. Our starter dish never arrived and the service was pretty curt. The food itself was Ok but not that different to what I've eaten elsewhere in the UK.

If you fancy an Indian meal, Zest is the place to go. I've been there three times and and I haven't been disappointed yet. Naan bread is good as it's not too thick, and I especially like the bhindi and mushroom bhaji side dishes.

Zest was a value for money restaurant, lovely main courses but starters could have been better, will definitely return

Place works well for groups (I took 12 there). Food very good and plenty of it, beers chilled to perfection and short walk from city.
