It was Tuesday night, so not the busiest or livliest atmostphere, but that was not an issue for us. Had the set meal Z2 for two, which was plentiful, hot and tasty. Another great meal was therefore had!

Went with my fiance and two close friends for dinner at Zenz Oriental Restaurant on Saturday night. We had pre-booked and it was busy, but this did not affect the level of service, which was very good, and our table was awaiting our arrival. We opted for one of the set menus (Z2) for four and the food was fresh, hot and tasty and there was enough for all of us. Have been to Zenz about 10 times in all and will be going back again soon!

I went to Zenz Oriental on a Wednesday night. It was relatively quiet but nice and relaxing. On arrival, my partner and I were kept waiting even though the place was quiet. Staff were very friendly though could have been a little more attentive during service. While the menu remains confusing, the food is full of flavour, there's plenty of choice and it's a highly dependable local eatery which I would not hesitate to return to.

Food was absolutely lovely - wide choice of dishes even for a vegetarian - can't wait to go back

The staff at Zenz worked very hard but we had to wait over 30 minutes for our main meal. There was also a long cold walk to the toilets which were a bit grim. The food was OK.

The contemporary Ikea-ness of Zenz in Old Harlow is the only downside of an otherwise excellent restaurant. First impressions are important, and service was friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and MSG-free, only soggy batter around the tasty red snapper starter was of any real concern. The menu is a little tricky to read as it is listed regionally rather than by course, but my dinner companion had invaluable experience being a local so I let her choose. Nice not to be rushed out the door too!

Had heard good reviews of Zenz & this was the first time I'd been - I was very impressed with the food, a really good upper class chinese restaurant! Shame about the amount of children dining with family - I would suggest not going mid week if you want a romantic night out! Or ask to moved to a corner!
