Very pleasant local restaurant. Lovely food and good value too, we took advantage of the bring your own bottle offer which made it even better. Good atmosphere and we would eat here again.

Zanzero combines really good ingredients with an original menu in a beautiful, bright, zingy space. The lunchtime special 2 course menu at £10-95 a good bargain-- for me, that meant meatballs followed by a very fine battered mackerel with really good salad heavy with ripe tomatoes... fabulous winter berries ice cream sundae to follow, with hot chocolate sauce brought separately in a steel jug--just as it should be...

This is the second time we have been to Zanzero in a week and it's still as good as the first time we went. The food it top quality and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The service can be slightly slow but it certainly won't spoil the experience.

Zanzero in Edinburgh was excellent!!! Best service I have ever experienced in a restaurant, all of the staff were lovely and really pushed the boat out with their service. Food was really good and average prices that you would find in any Italian restaurant. The only negative I would have is that the food was a little bit bland but still tasty. Thanks guys

I must admit that I was very disappointed with the set menu at Zanzero to which the two courses for £10.95 applied to. There were only two courses to choose from for both the starter and main course and there wasnt a veggie option. Also the two meals that were offered werent very exciting ie lamb burger. So we ended up going a la carte instead. Food was ok, did the job but was not really that great to be honest as the pizzas tasted quite bland. Only real plus point was that the service was good

We went for a birthday meal on a Sunday night. The waiting staff were great with the kids and when my youngest told the waitress it was my husbands birthday they gave him a brownie and ice cream with sparklers in it! It was also no corkage on BYO which makes a huge difference to the bill!

The lime and orange decor and plastic seats might not be to everyone's taste, but Zanzero is nevertheless a good addition to the restaurant scene in this part of Edinburgh, with laid-back service, good cooking using high-quality ingredients and a straightforward menu selection. Loses a mark for dungeon-like access to male toilets, but generally a good experience. The no corkage BYOB (Mon-Wed) is a bonus and will definitely generate them extra business.

First time at Zanzero and was impressed. Food and service was excellent with a relaxed feel to the place. Would recommend and will return.

Zanzero, sister restaurant to the oft mispronounced Cento Tre, is in many ways the better of the two. The kitchen here clearly outperforms it's George St relative with punchy, well defined flavours and consistently high quality. Salsiccia pasta is a signature dish; spicy sausage, chilli, courgette and cream combine brilliantly, especially with a fennel and tomato salad. The room is less sophisticated than the food but service is warm and helpful. Can someone explain the wine glasses?

Zanzero is a lively, child-friendly and adult-friendly welcome addition to the Edinburgh scene.

We had a great evening at this restaurant - despite the service issues! The food was good and great value but they did seem to forget about us and we had to remind them we were stil waiting on our starters after 45 mins (however I would rather service too slow than too quick!) then they brought wrong salad - however they did offer free deserts to compensate and when I didn't order a desert they knocked off the corckage charge for the wine without being prompted.

Zanzero is a great little find. We have been wishing for a BYOB Italian for ages, so to find one that is nice, has great food and does not charge corkage for half the week is magic! Some may find the "zingy" green perspex a bit much, but we liked it. It does make it feel more like a place you go with friends on Wednesday because you feel like treating yourself, rather than for a really special occasion. Food was good, classic, pizza-style Italian fare, and I look forward to going back.
