Whighams Wine Cellars, very quirky and buzzing place. A group of us went along on a Friday evening, which proved to be very busy and rather noisy, it was difficult to hold a conversation at the table - certainly not a place for a romantic date! However, the food was extremely good and we would all highly recommend any choice of seafood, truly delicious! We would visit again, just maybe not on a Friday night...

Good bar food, not necessarily restaurant quality. Very good service at bar and at table, place was really quiet but on a Wednesday night when there is football on it is understandable. Would recommend for good value food.

£13.50 for a two-course meal was pretty good value and the food was reasonably good, but not fantastic. The wine bar itself was pretty bustling but didn't dominate the restaurant but provided some atmosphere to what otherwise would have been a rather quiet place.

Whighams was an excellent place for a romantic meal with the ambient lighting, secluded alcoves, and delicious food and wine.

Whighams wine cellars was cosy and we were served well and recommended a good wine by our waitress. The food however lacked the certain flavour I was searching for, but the deserts were good.

The food was fine and service good, however the biggest problem with Whighams Wine Cellar on a Friday night is the Friday night part. The bar area is very popular and therefore noisy, all ambiance and atmosphere in the small restaurant (which is an annex to the bar) is wiped out by the post-work crowd. I'd recommend the restaurant but not at busy times for the bar.

Whighams Wine Cellars was a good venue for a large party with plenty of room, friendly and efficient service and a nice atmosphere. Generally the food was of good quallity and good value for money. Unfortunately the tuna steaks were cold and red raw inside. Most people who chose this menu option commented that the fish was undercooked. I left mine - I don't like sushi!

Whigam's Wine Cellars. Although the "special" menu was very limited, we both found two courses that we were happy with. Food was to a very high standard, service was friendly and efficient. Excellent value. We shall certainly return again.

Prompt service, gravadlax delectable, beef stroganoff above average; partner's cullen skink divine, her tuna steak & salad nicoise fabulous; would recommend and we plan to return.
