The crab kebabs and green prawns were fantastic as usual. I love Veeraswamy!

Four of us went to Veeraswamy for a birthday Sunday lunch. As usual the food was excellent and the service was friendly and polite, attentive but discreet. Sunday lunch is excellent value at £22 a head for three courses. Total bill for 4: £165 for food, bottle of wine, 4 cocktails, coffee and service.

Beautiful restaurant, very elegantly decorated. There is definitely a sense of WOW when you step out from the lift. Staff were friendly and knowledgable. Best part of all was the marvellous food - there is no two dishes that taste the same. Great variety of spices that will make you aware of tastebuds you didn't know existed. Highly recommended.

Our trio had not been to Veeraswamy since the remake, and we were most impressed. The room is smart but not over-the-top. The food, although expensive by curry house standards, was exquisite, several cuts above the norm. Subtle flavours abounded in the duck, chicken and prawn dishes and in the imaginative starters. Service was unobtrusive and charming. All in all the best Indian meal since a visit to Delhi many moons ago.

Despite being around forever Veeraswarmy has successfully updated itself to provide excellent and innovative indian cuisine that provides a welcome alternative to the usual business lunches. The service is excellent, attentive without being overbearing I highly recommend a visit for those who haven't been before and also those who haven't been since the revamp.

The food at Veeraswamy was fantastic. It was up there as one of the best Indian restuarants I have been to. My guests loved it. Expensive generally and particulary on the wine front.

Lovely, quite plush decor, very tasty food artfully presented and great service with a waiter who was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Indian cooking. Veeraswamy does justice to the fact it's the oldest Indian restaurant in the UK, definately worth a visit.

I visited Veeraswamy for the first time with a friend. We had a lovely quiet table, the service, decor and food were all excellent. The only slight drawback was overhearing a waitress making jokes and comments about potential diners she was dealing with on the 'phone.

The private room at Veeraswamy was wonderful and had a great ambience and atmosphere for our corporate party. The food was good, although the portions were not that large. The service was excellent - nothing was too much hassle. We had 26 people in our party and everyone enjoyed it. Thanks to all!

went to veeraswamy yesterday it was a pleasant experience tables too near each other and quite wide to we had to shout to hear each other which probably annoyed the people next to us, good food I had never eaten any thing like it before it tasted nice, just different. I have been to India a few times and I didn't taste any think like it there. Would go back when I get payed again as it was expensive!

I booked Veeraswamy for my boss for a dinner meeting and he was suitable impressed. He couldn't praise the innovative food enough, though was not as happy about the prices! Would recommend.

We dined at Veeraswamy pre theatre to celebrate my sons 18th birthday. The service was very attentive and they made sure we were able to leave in time for the theatre. Quality of food was excellent. Obviously not cheap for an Indian restaurant, but this is a lot more than your local take away.
