Reviews of Vasco and Piero's Pavillion

Looks unpleasant from the outside, but the food is real deal italian. Can't be too enthusiastic about it. People who don't understand what Italian food is about may not like it - but they're just dumb.

The third time I've been to Vasco and Piero's and the food was, as before, very good - light, fresh and tasty. Thought it was a little on the expensive side for a set menu (31.50 each) and the wine was OK but nothing more than that and again a little over priced. Having said that, a good evening and a definite recommendation.

Vasco and Piero's Pavilion has been providing impeccable Italian cooking for almost as long as I can remember. We went there last Thursday for an early evening diner and once again I was reminded how good the food is there. To keep up such a consistently high standard over the years takes talent and a lot of dedication. This definitely is a restaurant to be recommended to anyone looking for good Italian food lovingly prepared.

Execellent service and and food to die for. The sommelier was quite gifted and charming. London is worth a visit just to experience this food and servic. Not cheap, but good value.

Clearly a celebrity restaurant (we saw ex-Monty Python Terry Jones), the service was good but the food lacked imagination.

As always we had an excellent and special evening.

Our 14 year old granddaughter chose Vasco and Piero's Pavillion for her birthday celebration dinner. It certainly did not disappoint. The food and service were of the highest quality, and everyone in the party enjoyed the dishes they had chosen. The birthday girl had two helpings of the delicous banana mousse!

I read a dozen reviews of Vasco and Piero's Pavillion before I booked and they seemed pretty mixed but we were not disapointed. The Umbran ham and salads we chose were particularly delicious and the home made pasta and fish dishes were pleasing. Portions could have been a little bigger but we have big appetites! The rose wine we ordered -on advice- was also very good and worth a mention. All the staff were polite and efficient. A good pre theatre choice.

Lovely homely Italian food. Meat filled fresh ravioli with a rosemary butter sauce was delicious. Tables can be a bit cramped depending on where you're sitting, but the laid back service was friendly.

Until yesterday Vasco and Piero's was one of my favourite restaurants, but it seems to have gone downhill. Despite the restaurant being virtually empty at 6.30 we were given a table right by the kitchen. The service was very abrupt. I used to think this restaurant was good value for money, but I'm afraid I won't be returning in a hurry.
