Vanilla with its small and intimate atmosphere is certainly up there as one of the best restaurants in the Brighton and Hove area. The scallops for starters were beautifully tender. For mains the meat (both venison and steak) were both perfectly cooked. The desserts were also very good- chocolate fiends will love the chocolate tart. It was wonderful after dinner to finish off with a cocktail in the bar. Highly recommend.

Had friends over form Dublin on Friday and they couldn't stop gushing about the food and what good value it was. I would thoroughly recommend Vanilla and amjust booking to go back in a few weeks. Really good for small intimate parties.

The cocktails at the bar were amazing and the staff extremely helpful and very polite. We went into the restaurant and it was empty. It was ideal to have the place to ourselves. The music was perfect and the food....well you have to go there to experience it yourself but it was out of this world. I would strongly recommend anyone to go there and have already told colleagues at work about it! I will definitely be going again!

Took my girlfriend to Vanilla for her birthday. Had a cocktail in the bar first then we were taken to our seats in the restaurant. Food was very good except for the pear in the pear crumble which was very unripe. Decor and ambience were nice until a very rowdy hen party arrived. Service was excellent. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The venue, food, drinks and service were fantastic, and I would definately recommend Vanilla, and eat here again. The bar was lively, but the restaurant seemed more private and intimate. Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly, both over the phone, and at the bar and restaurant.
