Reviews of Nakhon Thai - Waterfront

Nakhon Thai - Waterfront came highly rated but did disappoint with only average grub. The place itself was impressive with interesting decor but some external lighting and signage would improve it's potential in the location.

Nakhon Thai Waterfront is tricky to find - diving around under flyovers and through industrial backwaters but worth it once you get there. Lovely food, beautifully cooked and presented. Discreetly attentive service. Busy atmosphere. Tables overlooking the dock are spectacular, though on a cold night pick up the chill from huge plate glass windows.

Nakhon Thai- Waterfront is consistently great. The food is delicious and setting by the docks is lovely. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Nakhon Thai is an incongruously-located local restaurant on Royal Victoria Dock, but is a little gem. The busy tables and buzzy ambience testify to the restaurant's success and quality. Part of a small chain, Nakhon Thai serves unusual, beautifully-presented Thai food with excellent service and top-quality food. Unusual choices include Lamb with Herbs and the shared platter as a starter cannot be beaten. With wines at reasonable prices and surrounded by satisfied customers, it comes recommended.

Nakhon Thai Waterfront is my new favourite Thai restaurant.Having lived in the region, I can firmly vouch for the authenticity of the dishes. Try the Beef Red curry which is probably the best I have ever had, even when in Asia. Fish in tamarind sauce also perfectly delicious. Great fresh vegetable dishes too, I am partial to their morning glory dish which is simple, healthy and tasty. Ask to be seated at a table overlooking the Docks, there is a great view. Service is excellent overall.

There were two large party tables and when we ordered our food, the two of us had to wait almost an hour for the food to arrive, they could have managed our expectations and apologized for the delay. Tasty food and live music is nice.

The location is a little hard to find but the restaurant is absolutely amazing. Great waterfront view and fantastic live music. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, highly recommend the crispy garlic prawns. Portion sizes were quite descent - a quality halal restaurant at a great location. Will definitely be going back!

Having been to Nakhon Thai several times, I thought it would be ideal for a girlie get together, with its simple unpretentious food and good value for money cocktails. The view of Royal Victoria Dock is great, and the ambience inside makes you feel like you are on holiday. There was a slight mix up with the card payments but this was dealt with without fuss. A good time was had by all.

Nakhon Thai was a little empty when we visited but that meant the service was excellent. Food was very good, and would go again when it was a little more full.

The live music is far too loud other than that the place is great. Please turn the music down we could hardly hear each other speak.

We very much enjoyed our time at Nakhon Thai. The location and ambience were superb and the service and staff both friendly and efficient. In addition, we were given the window table we requested but which was not guaranteed. We were however expecting Thai food to be less spicy than the meal we ate on Saturday. Nevertheless, we coped with it by drinking plenty of water as an accompaniment.! I would definitely eat there again if I find myself in the Docklands area. C.E.
