We dined at Malmaison Brasserie Oxford last night & had a great evening. We started with cocktails at the bar, we'd been told their Cosmopolitans were the best and we were not disappointed! Dinner in the brasserie was excellent, the service was attentive but not imposing, the food amazing. Only dampner was the hotel night reception staff who called a cab, then laughed when someone else took it,we then waited 45mins for another. We didn't let this spoil what until then had been a great evening.

We had a fantastic meal at Malmaison for my daughter's 18th birthday, we had booked the private dining room which is available for up to 10 people. The food and service were excellent and we would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food at the Malmaison was excellent, simple but well prepared and presented. The steak frite was marvellous! The venue is interesting and we enjoyed looking around before our meal, but the brasserie feels quite oppressive, without natural light and rather unattractive pictures on the wall. Nevertheless it was a very worthwhile experience -slightly on the expensive side. As improvements, we would have liked to have side plates to use with our bread and butter and hand cream in the toilet.

Malmaison, Oxford Service was needlessly slow, but everything else was great.

7 of us all had a lovely time at Malmaison. We had the private dining room that was perfect for a group. The food was good and the menu nice and varied. We had a cocktail in the lounge before the meal and being based in an old prison was great. The service for our cocktails was a bit long and the drinks in general were pricey but don't let this put you off. In terms of what Oxford has to offer, Malmaison is a welcome addition.

This was my fourth visit to Malmaison Hotel Oxford and as always, the food and service were excellent. The staff always remember me...I took my 6 year old grandaughter as part of my group, she was unwell and everyone made sure she was OK.....the kitchen even called up and offered to send some toast up to our room later that envening for her. My favourite UK hotel.

Food & atmos would easily tempt me back but sadly, it's the staff I'll remember more. Attitudes included surly (when we were brought to the restaurant part of MalMaison 10 mins before it opened), unco-operative (we requested a cell but were told it was booked - it remained empty for the entire lunchtime), arrogant (1 guest complimented the waitress on remembering all the cheeses on offer to be told quite rudely that she knew 150!) and slow (couldn't imagine them coping with a full restaurant).

enjoyable meal at the Malmaison, although the food was relatively unexciting. The wine list was good and resonably priced and the service and environment excellent
