Nice place, with very good service. We ate from the homegrown menu which didn't offer a huge selection, but was significantly cheaper than the main menu, due to the 2 courses for £15, and 3 courses for £20 offers which did not apply to the main menu. Food was good, but not particularly memorable.

Malmaison was very good. Food had very good sized portions and we went home very full. Quite expensive. Fierce air conditioning spoiled the ambience. Wine list was impressive, but overly expensive.

Malmaison was very posh. The food was good but took a long time to come.

Malmaison is an impressive building but after that things go down hill a little. The food was over cooked and was of mediocre quality. The one thing that was very good was the wine list.

I took a customer to Malmaison in Leeds and whilst it was excellent value for money, (we had the main event offer which was a glass of wine, main meal and coffee for £9.95), the seabass was well cooked but potatoes were a little hard and no veg or sauce accompanied it. The staff were extremely helpful and the restaurant itself was lovely

Visited Malmaison for dinner on a Weds night. Initially for the set menu special but ended up ordering from a la carte as it sounded so good. Food and service was very good (some unusual dishes available, e.g. pigs trotters) and ambience was great - very cosy and intimate. Great wine list. Can't recommend this place highly enough for a romantic meal.

Good food, slow service though - requested to book a cab after the meal they said they have booked it and due to arrive in 5mins; waited for 15mins but still haven't come so we chased up and been told to wait for another 5mins and then another 5mins etc........other than that everything was great, food itself was very tasty and well-cooked; good portion (not too big nor small)

I have dined in several of the Malmaison restaurants, but found the Leeds branch not quite up to the usual high standards. It wasn't bad, just minor things - the steak was not rare as my partner asked for, more like medium, and a long wait for the bill.

A rather dark and sombre restaurant, but the special deal was OK, main courses very nice - but a little small , deserts rather unimaginative. The young man serving us was charming.

Malmaison Brasserie Leeds. Building impressive inside and out. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, even when we arrived an hour early. But felt uncomfortable with informal “how’s it going guys” question from waiters. Good, well cooked food and good value. Wine list extensive but not enough under £18 options. Overall, recommended.

I went to the Malmaison Brasserie in Leeds for lunch the other weekend with 2 other guests. The building and decorations have clearly been well thought out, the food was cooked well and the service was always helpful. Toptable’s offer was good, although as expected from a set menu, it does limit your choices somewhat significantly. Finally, it would be good to see the ambience of the place when completely full and for this, I suspect going for dinner would be much better than going for lunch.
