Malmaison Brasserie was a thoroughly enjoyable night , Great fish dishes and a superb wine menu. The waitress was very attentive and personable and the atmosphere was good. Will definateley be returning. The 15% off the food through top table was a real bonus aswell.

It was my Mums birthday & we wanted to go somewhere special,& Malmaison didn't dissapoint. The quality of the food was excellent & the presentation was very unique.I had pork & apple croquets to start that came in a mini metal drier!my dad & husband had the steak, which had so much flavour.the desserts were out ofvthis world,my dad had the gooseberry fool which came in it's own jam jar with chunks of biscuit on the side!definitely go here, delicious meal

Staying at their hotel one evening, we booked the Malmasion Brasserie to avoid walking back into town for dinner. It was busy but not crowded, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the decor was warm and cosy and the food was beautiful. The French Sommelier was on hand to help choose a great wine from their extensive list. We sipped cocktails in the bar next door afterwards to complete a great, romantic evening. We would highly recommend an evening here....and a room upstair

I had a really good lunch at Malmaison. It is reasonably priced and the food really was excellent. Definitely recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed the meal and the experience at the Malmaison. I ended up eating from one of their special offer menus and it was really good value. The service was really good but with the service charge of 10% not being optional I wasnt happy! even though I would have left a tip equivalent to that as they were excellent - I sent a message with my booking asking for a bottle of champagne to be at the table with a birthday note - and they had done everything

We went to Malmaison to celebrate a birthday (free glass of Champers for birthday boy, very nice). Food was superb. I highly recommend the rump steak (which comes with a glass of wine & a coffee, great deal at £9.99). Service was excellent, attentive yet not intrusive. It was a little quiet. I think this is due to people not realising what a great place this is for lunch on a Sunday. Will definitely go back!

My overall experience at the Malmaison Brasserie was enjoyable. The service, ambience food was of a high standard. My objections as usual, centre around the cost of the house wine at £19 per bottle and the service charge of 10% which makes the special offer very expensive!

Overall Malmaison is a very good restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant we were surprised to find a very nice bar attached with a good cocktail menu. We asked the staff if we could put back our reservation by 30mins so we could have a drink at the bar and the staff were happy to accommodate

Dishes were interesting but didn't always work out tat well. Portions are also very small. The ambience made it an enjoyable experience desite this, however.

The 2 course meal we had at Malmaison Brasserie was excellent value for money. The food was good but the quality of the food and ambience was of a very high standard. I would definitely go again - although watch out for the wine menu as it was a little over-priced.

Malmaison was a disappointment. The food was blandly average at best and the service was slow even though the restaurant was barely half full. Whilst the decor compenstated to a limited extent, it didn't justify paying over the odds for basic, average food. Would perhaps return to use the bar as the surroundings are impressive but I wouldn't set foot in the restauarant again.

We visited Malmaison Brasserie - Birmingham on Friday 28th December for lunch. The restaurant was quiet although the service was surprisingly slow despite this. It didn't spoil our meal as we were happy to have a long lunch and the food was excellent. One particular member of staff couldn't speak or understand english very well which made things a little tricky also. I would consider going again but it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice.
