L'Ortolan is in a fantastic setting and the building, ambience and bar are fantastic. The staff are the right side of attentive and the sommerlier chose fantastic wine for the meal. While excellent I must say that the food was slightly 'flat' - for me there was only one of those mouthfuls where I felt 'that is just fantastic'. Nevertheless an excellent evening. I highly recommend the cheese for desert.

The L'Ortolan is a fantastic place to really enjoy food and great company. The menu is sophisticated yet simple and the touches of detail make each course a treat to enjoy. Not cheap, but the food and service are difficult to fault. More a treat than a regular haunt, but one to look forward to.

We visited L'Ortolan for lunch and choose the de jour lunch menu. The food was very good, service was excellent and overall it was very good value for money.

L'Ortolan was a great dining experience. The set lunch menu offered really good value for money - delicious food, imaginatively presented and professionally served. This was our first visit and it exceeded our expectations being up to the standard of many of the central London 'big name' restaurants that we have visited.

My wife and I treated our son and his girlfriend to dinner at L'Ortolan for his birthday. We couldn't have made a better choice ! The evening was simply fantastic, starting with being collected at home by their chauffeur, to enjoying champagne and canapés in the conservatory whilst perusing the menus. We all settled on the gastronome menu (the vegetarian for my wife, meat for the rest of us) and every single course was simply divine. All-in-all, a most magnificent evening was enjoyed by all !

L'Ortolan Although one Michelin Star rated this Restaurant must be nudging towards a second star. The menu Gourmand consisted of at least three outstanding courses and four excelllent courses. Service attentive and wine advice by the sommelier was just right and within a reasonable price range. The setting and decor are pleasing , toilets impeccable. Altogether highly recommendable. The most expensive meal we've ever had but felt it was worth the money for a special occasion. The food and service were excellent. A complimentary glass of champagne was offered when the souffle was delayed, not that we had even noticed and a whole bottle opened for us when the half bottle we had orderd wasn't availble. If I had to find a crictisim I would have liked my main course to be slightly warmer! Can't wait to go back.

My wife reciprocated and took me to L'Ortolan for my birthday - and once again we had a fabulous meal, in lovely surroundings with attentive, courteous service. Highly recommended!

we had a really nice meal and was well looked after by all the staff,I wish I could spend 3hrs over lunch every day.Great menu although had e known what veg was to be severed with the main course i might have change my choice of starter. Exelent cellar but a bit pricey. Overhall well worth a visit and I will be going back

I took my wife here for her birthday. Suffice to say we were not disappointed one iota, in fact, we had the most fantastic time. The food, service and atmosphere were simply the best. All in all, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and we will most certainly be returning. The highlight of a wonderful day.

Business dinner. Great place to take clients. Fantastic food, great service but it is what you would expect at those prices! Would recommend

It is difficult to imagine a better all round eating and drinking experience in a restaurant. L'Ortolan deserves every accolade that has been visited upon it. It was my first visit but it now goes into my top list of recommended places. The room, service, and feel good factor were excellent. The wine list was well put together with relatively good value bottles for such a top restaurant. The set lunch of £24 per head was exceptionally good value. More please!!

We had a lovely meal, the staff were very good. Everything from pre dinner drinks in the conservatory, to the meal was very seemless and very smooth. The staff were attentive, but not too attentive. We can't wait to go back.
