Reviews of Kemps Restaurant

Lovely little restaurant. We had lunch, so was pretty quiet. I had the Steak and Ale Pie which was nice - probably not worth £15 though, espescially since it came with no vegetables...just the pie. I wasn't offered any vegetables either, so had to order them seperately after my pie had come out.

We had a very nice meal at Kemps which was full of locals upon our arrival celebrating the holidays creating a very homey feel. We would go back if in the area, good spot for an early drink.

Kemps was absolutely superb. Beautifully decorated, great ambience, excellent service and great food. I would go back there any day of the week!

Nice enough restaurant but the food was quite unimaginative and a little bland, although well cooked. The decor is very clean and crisp but we were the only diners in there on a Thursday so very little atmosphere. There is a bar which is part of the restaurant and some people were drinking there but still lacked ambeiance. The set menu is good value but the drinks will bump up the price considerably.

Excellent little gem of a restaurant. Excellent atmosphere, great food, service a little slow and wine a little pricey, but the set menu was a great deal. Highly recommended.
