Reviews of Kai Mayfair

Food at Kai May fair was fantastic. Service was pleasant but we did think it was a bit odd that we were asked to order our desserts 5minutes after ordering starters/main courses because the kitchen was closing at 2pm ! Would highly recommend Kai Mayfair except for the fact that it had aero atmoshere

Kai of Mayfair was good Chinese food. The prawn curry dish was fragrant, however, a little bit spicy for me. Luckily, I had the Sczechan Beef, which was good. The only downside was one of dishes, got forgotton about. No restaurant is that good to have to put up with us having to remind them THRICE! May go again, if for a biz lunch, however in my opinion, it wasn't the best value for money Chinese meal I've had. Better off being BLUE in SHANGHAI in Holburn. Def worth the extra $,£, so go there!

Kai was very well cooked and different chinese food. Ambience was nice bar the elevator music that was being played in the background. Very expensive for what it is. (approx £70 without wine)

Upon arriving at Kai we were seated immediately despite being 30 minutes early for our reservation. The food was excellent, great quality cuts of meat and poultry not the usual stringy cuts that you associate with poor quality Chinese food. Nothing was oily or overcooked but cooked to perfection. The prices for starters and soups are a little higher than you might expect but superb quality when they arrive. Wine is also very expensive but I have not come across a bottle I did not enjoy at Kai.

KIA IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE CHINESE RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TO IN LONDON. FOOD WAS GOOD BUT NOT SPECIAL, THE SERVICE ATTENTIVE AND THE AMBIENCE FROM OUR TABLE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF RESTAURANT ONLY OK. WINES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND THE FIRST 2 I PICKED WERE DIFFERENT YEARS FROM THE LIST. NOT VALUE FOR MONEY AND WOULDN'T RETURN.

We had a lovely meal at Kai. We were seated downstairs which was very private, perfect for an intimate dinner. Its pricey but for food this good its worth it. Try the lamb with szechuan and the seabass. Melt in your mouth food!

Kai is probably the best Chinese restaurant in London. The food tastes fantastic, the service is excellent (they even roll your crispy duck pancakes for you and serve them to you one at a time). And generally the decor is of a high standard. Recommended for a special night out. It's expensive, but you are paying for the best.

Friends think Kai is superb; I've never understood why. It's pleasant and the menu is interesting, but the food always seems to miss the mark.

A perfect little find. A bit doubtful at the begining but did enjoy the meal very much and would definitely recommend.

Kai was an amazing restaurant. The veg chinese food there was one of the tastiest I have ever had! it was very pricey though, and our bill came to about £130 for two of us including drinks, but it was worth it!

I was very pleased with the service, and i would definatly recoment it, my special request was also done so i was very happy with this, and over all it was the perfect choice to celebrate my 3yr anniversary.
