Reviews of Jamies - Canary Wharf

The food is very poor. It has the feel of an out of town chain bar/restaurant - which it is. So, it's not up to centre of London standards - at all. It was also pretty empty for lunch time.

very basic but affordable cuisine, very loud (football game on TV), great location with good views, very friendly waitress and good portion, but it was nearly impossible to avoid fried and high carbs food...good in times of the credit crunch...

For a large drinks party you can't beat this place - assigned your own area and waitress - service was great.

The restaurant was very noisy and I thought that the choice of food was very limited. It really is a wine bar and not a restaurant.

Always a good night out with friends - we booked a large area but it was a nice day and so we stayed outside all night - food and drinks were reasonably priced, although you do have to wait a while at the bar as it is so busy in there.

Good service, lots of areas to sit, good choice of food. Along the river.

Jamies is in a nice spot for a summer lunch by the river. The service was friendly and fast.

Jamies-canary wharf was such a disapointment. I had high expectations however the food was below average even for a fast food restsaurant, the order was incorrect. My couscous was bland and the chicken overcooked. I hope Jamie is going to put some real effort into improving this if he is putting his name to it. On a positive note the waiter was very attentive, well at least until a party of 30 arrived. Sorry, I hate giving bad reviews but this was really dissapointing.

Jamies Canary Wharf. The food was slightly above average pub grub. The place was almost empty on a Friday lunch - but that may have been the rain. Otherwise it is pleasant enough, overlooking the water. With 50% it is worth it, otherwise price wise it is maybe a little steep, but then so is all of this area. The service was good - one of our party arrived late, ordered 15 minutes after everyone but got his food within minutes. Not worth a special trip but OK if in the area.

THe Restaurant had a gas leak and therefore called us to say we could not eat there that evening! We were disappointed, but these things can't be helpd! Can't tell you what the food was like, but it was good of them to call and let us know the problem!

When we arrived at Jamies we say the big screen in the bar and noted the restaurant tables were very close to this so we turned tail and went and found another restaurant. It wasn't what we wanted - it may suit some people but information on toptable didn't actually explain exactly what was on offer, so felt misled. Never mind plenty of other great restaurants to be had. Fortunately we got a table at the Chinese a couple of doors down!

I recently went for a meal after work at Jamie's expecting it to be a casual dinner with a friend in a reasonably busy bar/restaurant. However the bar was absolutely rammed with people and there was no clearly defined dining "area" so we had our food surrounded by people drinking in a reserved area of the bar. The food was quite nice and reasonable value, but this is really a place for a quick bite in between pints, not a sit down dinner!

We had a very large drinks function here and the area we had was great, drinks flowing - they didn't run out of the drinks we were drinking which is always a plus! The outside area on the river is divine

I entertained a group over lunch at Jamies, and although the experience was 'OK', I can't say I'll be back soon. Walking past The Gaucho Grill - packed to the rafters inside and out - and onward to Jamies which was a quarter full at best. What do they know that we don't? The service throughout was good, but unfortunately not matched by the quality of the food. Nothing specifically poor (apart from the limp/old salad) - but nothing specifically worth writing home about. I'll know better next time
