Jakatas is always lovely. The food is great and the portions a good size. The set meal for 2 with 3 courses, four different main dishes and a bottle of wine is excellent value.

In the plain suburbs of Colindale lies this little gem of a restaurant offering some of the best thai food in North West London. Authentic flavours coupled with outstanding value make this restaurant well worth a trip, and once you've been, you'll go back again and again!

Ate at Jakarta on a Tuesday evening in what was actually quite a busy restaurant. The food is the star of the show and I would particularly recommend the set meal for two which is very good value for money and plentiful. Each of the main courses was flavoured differently and the chilli prawns had just the right kick to them. A lovely restaurant all in all.

Jakarta is always very good value for money. The food this time was not outstanding a part from a squid main. My main of chicken in special chef sauce was quite boring. Never the less I will go back and try something different nex time as the menu offers a lot of choice.

Jakarta is a great local with a varied menu. We had squid with chili, beef rendang,roast duck and chicken in coconut sauce with a Nasi Goreng special and spring rolls thrown in, all very tasty. The house wine is under a tenner and very drinkable. Very nice food, and quite a bit of it for what you pay, the place was full of large families who also agreed. A good value local if you fancy the works but don't want to pay London prices.There is something for everyone here, pity its in Colindale!

The meal at Jakarta was good value for money. We had been there before and the set meal for three was far too much so this time we ordered a set meal for two and an extra starter which was perfect. Food was delicious as always and the set meal is a good introduction. Busy and a bit noisy and the waitress was eager to remove the dishes before we had finished but overall a good recommendation.

Jakarta: Great decor, looks better than the pics! Excellent and attentive service. Food was good but not as great as I was expecting. But then again it could have been what we ordered. Food pluses: Gado Gado salad, Pad Thai, Thai Green Curry. Food Minuses: Battered Prawns (too much batter), Squid in Indonesia soy sauce (too sweet and too fishy!) I think if you order carefully, it would be a good place to eat.

Jakarta was a lovely surprise, the decor was filled with authentic handicrafts with a busy but fun atmosphere. Unfortunately it went a bit down hill from there. Although we were seated really quickly, we were then ingnored until we frantically waved to a waitress. We then had to wait and hour and a half to be served. We ordered Rendang which was quite bland and prawns with chilli and garlic which was overcooked. Having said that it was very good value and I would try it again.

Great food at Jakarta, service could have been a little better but there was a big party in at the same time as us. I would certainly recommend it to others.

Jakarta, excellent food and reasonably priced. Had a really nice warm atmostphere and the staff were genuinely friendly. Would definately go back.
