Reviews of Inn on the Green

I really enjoyed eating at The Inn on the Green, it was a lovely setting and very cosy inside. I'm rather gutted I've only just found it and the summer is over. The food and service was excellent and the offer Top Table were providing was excellent value. For a Thursday night though it was rather quiet inside and it felt like you couldn't raise your voice above a whisper. Overall though, excellent.

The Inn on the Green is a very nice place - food was excellent & staff friendly. However, we were partly there for a special offer of £15 for 2 courses/£18 for 3 & we discovered that if you wanted any veg or potatoes you had to pay separately (£3 for each) - not something that was clarified on the toptable website, & we felt this was underhand. They made 2 mistakes on our bill (new waiter maybe?), & we were also put in the conservatory away from the other diners - because we were toptablers???

The Inn on the Green fully desrves it's top rating. The top table set menu was limited to a choice of 3 for each of the starter, main and pud and they sounded a bit ordinary. However the quality was tip top and great value, service crisp and informative. Both the tomato soup and belly pork starters tasted very home made, and the cod and chicken mains were served with unusual veg/presentation, very original. Outstanding value on the top table deal & great country pub wooden beams ambience.

the meal at Inn on the Green in Cookham Dean was very tasty, lots of butter was used, so not exactly light and fluffy. The gnocchi were interesting, not traditional. Pork belly starter was very delicious! We were asked if we wanted to order sidedishes, the spinach was a spoonful £3.50! Skipped dessert as we were full but the 3 choices looked yummy. We would definitely go back and try their a la carte menu!

This was our 8th time at the Inn on the Green, and we got married there back in 2007. Impressed with the wonderful, attentive service as usual, but felt that the food was not as spectacular as previous occasions.

The Inn on the Green was beautiful inside and out, with attentive personal service, a good menu and exceptionally well cooked dishes. I would highly recommend this to others and will return.

The Inn on the Green at Cookham Dean provides an oustanding quality of food at a very fair price. The mid-week offer would be hard to beat. For less than £22 you can enjoy a 3 choices for each course and a free glass of champagne. Each course is carefully presented and portions are well balanced. You come away feeling full, but not to the point of discomfort. The staff are very pleasant and there is no hurrying you out of the door. This was our second time and we will be going again soon.

As always Inn on the Green is great value for money with the special offer. The service, food and setting is all fabulous.

The Inn On The Green is an absolutely lovely venue - and the glass of champagne on arrival was a very nice touch. The waiting area was lovely - however for our meal we were seated in the conservatory area which is not as cosy. Food was good, but not mind blowing, side portions were extremely small. Although we enjoyed our meal we wont be rushing back.

Most of the food at Inn on the Green was very good. My partner's steak was the worst he has ever had and tiny. The service was very good and the dining area and bar very cosy.

Inn on the Green - went there a year ago and it was 10 / 10. This time i feel it has lost its special touch - food was ok - still good but not as fantastic as last time. alue for Money - average. Disappointed on the whole, although still a lovely place. Service is excellent..
