The food was tasty and not greasy. Lamb was a bit grissly though. Service was friendly but a little slow. There were nice little extras like a delicious amus bouche and chocolate raisins with the bill.

All had a great night at Indian Zing. We had a large group of 25 and the restaurant staff managed the night perfectly. Great food.

Indian Zing: We went there for Diwali. The food was awesome - every dish was wonderful. The smoked aubergine raita was out of this world. we had a really good experience. the only thing they could have done better is created a more festive atmosphere for Diwali.

Didn't know about Indian Zing until I found it on Top Table, but I'll definitely be going back, and soon. A cut above your average curry house but well worth the extra - £22 for a thali centred on the magnificent Lamb Nilgiri, a deliciously rich creamy sauce with very tasty chunks of lamb.

Indian Zing is a very good 'posh' curry house but not one to go to if you just want a big feast and they only serve beer by the half!

Indian Zing is so unassuming you could pass it without a second thought - don't. You'd miss calm, assured service, a comfortable, unfussy white-clothed room, an interesting wine list (if you must drink beer do, if not try the Indian Shiraz - a revelation) and above all, clean-tasting, tasty, zingy even, Indian food of fine quality, presented thoughtfully and with style. A lunchtime 'express' menu offers guaranteed speed, two courses at £12, three at £15, and is great value. What's not to like???

Indian Zing was buzzing on a Wednesday night. The food is definitely a cut above your average local indian. Excellent service and ambinace also. Will definitely be back.

I visited Indian Zing on a Tuesday night with a colleague. They seated us early and the service was fantastic. The food was amazing and my mixed seafood curry was delicious - something I had never tried before - the squid in particular melted like butter in my mouth. As it was a business meal as I wasn't paying, the cost wasn't too much of a factor although I though £70 for 2 was fine-our wine was £20 a bottle.I do think the 12.5% service charge that was added was a bit cheeky.

Great food. Really fresh with well-worked out flavours. The four of us had a range of dishes - prawn dishes (particularly the aubergine starter) were probably the most favoured. Service was a bit scatty - naan bread came too late into the meal despite asking for it several times (redeemed by it's tastiness!) same with poppadoms and drinks orders... Very good value foor but drinks are a bit unnecessarily pricey - not very good wines around £20 - house wine about £14 i think.

We visited Indian Zing on a Thursday night. The service was excellent with complimentary amuse bouche of a spicy pumpkin and coriander soup. The menu offered great choice and we both enjoyed our main courses which were well presented and well seasoned. The side dish of Okra, peppers and tomatoes was very tasty, the Nann slightly different to the norm, being less doughy and with sesame seeds on top, but very nice. Nice ambiance and atmosphere and a throughly enjoyable evening. Recommended.

very good - we chose the thali's and should have been more adventurious. Mango kulfi was great but the highlight was the complimentary vegetable drink

Absolutely amazing!! The best dining experience I have had in this price range. The food was delicious. The menu is not like any other Indian restaurant, Its fusion food must be tried. The level of service was perfect. The waiters do not constantly bother you, but are always close by if you want to grab their attention. Cannot faultany aspect of the entire dining experience.

Indian Zing should be given points for trying with their 'Christmas Menu', but unfortunately that's about as far as it went, with what could have been inspired choices of unusual food partnerships not quite working. Though the zing favourites were as good as ever, their normal average of excellence was brought back to a mere 'good'. Will we try again? Yes, but perhaps not being quite so trusting in our food choices.
