Il Vicolo in Crown Passage is a great place for lunch and the food is great with reasonable prices.

Il Vicolo is a friendly and warm establishment. I enjoy going there very much, perfect for a business lunch or a laugh with the girls.

The food and wine at Il Vicolo is delicious, portions just the right size and a good choice of desserts for an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately they lack some of the traditional Italian al forno options and the price for some of the simplest dishes - tomato and basil pasta for example, is a little rich. Similarly the difference between the price of the house and other wines is quite a lot. Excellent service and great food, but you definitely pay for it,

I booked a table at Il Vicolo for a work related dinner. It was close to the office and had favourable reviews. There were 6 of us in all and the service was welcoming. We were provided with bread & oil and olives and given enough time to settle and decide about drinks and food. In all the food was good, service wasn't too hasty but was pleasant and the wine list was (from my limited knowledge) varied but select. I would recommend for work related events, but is a bit pricey for my own pocket.

We only had an hour for lunch so thought we'd try Il Vicolo. Cosy & friendly staff and even with an early lunch seating of 12:30, there was a warm atmosphere. I had the insalata di fugioli with Zuchinni on the side whilst my guests went for pasta. Portions were very generous, the pasta was absolutely as it was meant to be: melt in the mouth & full of flavour. The Zuchinni was utterly delicious. 3 main meals, 3 coffees & an orange juice came to £63. Only neg: ladies didn't have any hand towels

Good for a business lunch, but a little on the expensive side.

Il Vicolo was disappointing after reading the reviews. We went there on a Friday night and there was only us and 1 other table. The food we had was tasty but very overpriced, particularly as you needed to order side dishes. The menu wasn't particularly interesting and it was actually more of a rustic, simple meal which didn't suit the modern setting or the high prices. There's a reason why it wasn't very busy.

have been waiting a while for Il Vicolo to reopen and it did not diappoint, still the same great menu but the inside seems to look so much better. I had fish and it was perfectly cooked and the service was second to none. Definitely much greater value for money that many other restuarants in the area, and far less pretentious.
