Love the atmosphere, great value for money. And the bar area has comfortable seating if you just want to relax and have a drink.

Was reasonably priced with the 50% off offer but would be a little expensive without. All food ordered was good but the belly pork was excellent I would go again just for that dish.

Idlewild is in a lovely part of London. It has a nice, relaxing atmostphere. Wine is really good, and well priced. The food is quite pricey for the size of the portions, but great if you go with a 2for1 deal. Food is hearty English, service is great, really friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it, but not if you're looking for average pub food at average pub prices.

Idlewild will definately be a new regular for us. Great service and delicious food, excellent with the offer. Really like the civilised atmosphere and grown up feel about it. Like most places the background music a touch too loud and unnecessary and it could be a little warmer on a cold night. Looking forward to going back though.

Idlewild was great - very good value (with the 50% offer), lovely food and very good service on the whole. We had to ask for the bread we had been promised with the main course, but that was the only gripe with an otherwise excellent evening. Will definitely be returning if we are in the area!

Idlewild had good comforting pub food, very relaxed atmosphere, and with the 50% off was a bargain. The scallops and mussels were excellent although shepherd's pie portions were a bit small and the burger was nothing special. The pork belly was a better choice. For desert we had between us nearly everything offered, all of which was excellent. A great place to relax with friends and eat comfort food. An absolute bargain with the discount.

The Idlewild has a simple but effective menu, the service is not overly attentive, but friendly. The food is good and although tghe prices are more than you might expect from a gastro pub it doesn't disappoint.

We love Idlewild. It's become our regular haunt in Maida Vale. The food is excellent and I love the atmosphere. They regularly change the menu so there is always something new to try.

Went for Sunday lunch. Nice selection of starters and roasts. Wonderful apple crumble. Staff were very friendly and attentive, unlike on a previous dinner visit.

Dined at Idlewild last saturday for the second time, the restaurant was full when we arrived which is usually a good sign, despite the awful weather. The food was delicious, we had scallops as starters, perfectly cooked and the meat for the mains was tender adn delicious. The service was very friendly, even when we asked for the duck (which was perfectly cooked under normal circumstances) to be more cooked because of pregnancy! Will definitely come back again.

A very seemless process booking lunch for 2 at the Idlewild very late the Saturday night before via toptable. We both opted for the 3 course set menu which was very good value for money. The food was wholesome and hearty and well prepared. A good balanced atmosphere with a mixture of familes and groups of friends. The service was attentive but not too overboard. All round a very good lunch experience. Just what you need for a lazy, hassle free Sunday afternoon!!!

Idlewild sounded glamorous but we were in the pub area so i guess we missed out on the sexy cocktail lounge. Food was decent but there was no going off- menu- a lactose intolerant diner was told that a brownie without ice cream on top could be difficult. I wouldn't say it's particularly vegetarian friendly either- only one veggie main course option.

Service can do with being more attentive. Food is fine. A cool environment
