Reviews of Harrogate Grille

we ask for a quiet table and we were give a table by the window, and it was very private. The food was lovely, only thing I would say is the menu is a bit limited, could do with bit more choice, but on the whole a lovely evening, would recommend for a nice relaxed evening.

Fabulous meal, service average but it was very busy. Great decor and atmosphere. I would recomend.

Very friendly, buzzy atmosphere. Great deal on wines and champagnes on our visit. Quite a traditional menu, but what was done was done well.

The Harrogate Grille was a nice venue with friendly staff. We had to wait quite a while for our food but, when it arrived, our dishes were very nice and tasty.

We went to the Grille on a wet and windy Yorkshire Sunday evening. Mark's mussels and fishcakes were really good, but the presentation was let down by the smeary plates - not dirty, just smeary. My parfait was OK, though lacked flavour. THe service was rushed, as we were the last in, and it was clear that everyone wnated to go home. We picked the Grille because of the short menu, usually a sign of good things to come, but it was sadly made even shorter by the absence of anything sausagey.

Whilst we enjoyed the meal we had at Harrogate Grille on new years eve, the fact that a large party arrived with extra guests who "had to be accommodated" resulted in us having to move tables between courses. This did spoil the evening as a whole but will not deter us from returning at a less commercial time. Its a good reminder of the arrogance of some customers who see the hospitality business as something that can be treated with very little respect and believe money can buy you anything!

The Grille in Harrogare is most welcoming and very stylish. The menu is impressive with a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce. Our starters were delicious, moules mariniere with the most delicious crusty bread and duck, fig and honey salad, the mains though were very ordinary and lacked the flavours that were promoted on the menu. The restaurant itself is attractive, candles on tables, low lighting and plush dark furnishings. The service was faultless, the prices and food average.

Despite being practicaly empty (I guess that's what you get on Sunday night)the Harrogate Grille provided a pleasant dining experience. I didn't realise before booking that the Grille is a sister restaurant of 'Room' in Leeds, and was happily surprised at the quality of the menu. We ordered a starter and a main each and shared a dessert, totalling around £40, not inc. drinks. The staff were friendly and accommodating (as we played pick and mix with elements of the menu). Definitely worth a try!

It is very hard to find fault with this resteraunt. It is part of a hotel and was very easy to find, but had it not been for toptable we wouldn't have thaught to look in that area for a resteraunt. Top marks for everything, & going before 7 pm gave us a less costly mea but greatly enjoyed by the 4 of us.
