Harrison's is a great bar and restaurant - we arrived early and had excellent cocktails at the front before moving into the restaurant for dinner. The food is top-quality, and the main course are very generous. Their steaks are from Chadwick's, the wonderful organic butcher down the road - highly recommended!

We weren't very adventurous with our food choices at Harrison's so didn't really give it the opportunity to blow us away. There were several bottles of wine for under £15, which is a tad rare these days, and definitely couldn't complain about the wine we had. Service was perhaps a little non-responsive given how quiet the place was but suspect we had a new waiter, and the waiter was enthusiatic.

It was my first visit to Harrison's as a fish lover. I thought the food was excellent. My swordfish melted in the mouth. The service was attentive and friendly. Even though the restaurant was busy we were not rushed. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

The food in Harrison's is excellent. The service is normally superb - really attentive and friendly and helpful but without being 'in your face'. This was a Friday evening, they were very busy and bless 'im, the waiter was on his first day. But for food, service and just a nice place to spend an evening, I would highly recommend Harrisons.

Harrison's in Balham - Excellent food but service was a bit slow at the beginning. Good ambience, nice to see a working kitchen, excellent wine list too!

Harrison's looked after us very well. Food was mostly very good - although my Thai fishcakes were not nice. It was quite noisy - buzzy in a good way - but not the place for a quiet dinner.

Brunch at Harrison's was a very chilled out affair. We were seated quickly even though it was busy. I ordered the 'posh porridge' - laden with fruit (which was great) but the porridge itself wasn't that impressive, quite sticky yet dry at the same time?! My partner ordered the English Breakfast which was very nice as were the pancakes with Blueberry compote.... Nice food, gorgeous surroundings and very friendly, attentive staff.

Food at Harrison's is really good however the service was poor, it took ages to be asked if we wanted a drink, then a while for our order to be taken. However my plate was whipped away before I'd finished my last mouthful of my starter! We had to ask for the bill a couple of times before it came. I would go back because the food is good, but I would be prepared for the poor service.

We were very dissapointed with Harrison's in Balham. The slow service and that our table needed to be reduced in numbers before ordering was laughable. I don't think I've ever heard of a restaurant where orders cannot be taken for numbers over 12, having worked in a restaurant and having friends with me on the evening that manage their own estaurants was a bit of an embarrassment .... as it was we didn't get fed for well over an hour ;0(

I have been to Harrisons a couple fo times and have always been impressed by the quality of their food, particularly the baked cheesecake! Being a vegetarian (but enjoys fish), I do feel that their menu could provide more of a choice of non-meat dishes as only one vegetarian dish appears on the main menu. As a whole though, I do enjoy eating at Harrison's and the staff do make you feel very welcome.
