Haandi was fabulous in Kampala. In London Haandi was good food, but lacked the spice of Africa

Handi - great food and very attentive service as usual

I had not visited Haandi for at least 2 years, so had forgotten how good the food is! An excellent menu and great cooking. Service was adequate but not particularly gracious or friendly, which lost Haandi one point on the overall rating. Still, well worth another visit.

Haandi's food is genuinly authentic Indian. The tastes were tantilizing and food was freshly cooked. There's a huge choice for vegetarians as well. We had a very long three course lunch with Indian wine from Nandi Hills! I would definately recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine.

Another great experience at Haandi - as good as the first time. It's definitely my favourite Indian restaurant in London simply because the quality of the food is so high. The service could be more efficient but that is made up for by the food.

Haandi was a wonderful experience. The food was freshly prepared (the proof comes from walking past their glass-fronted kitchen) and the menu was varied to suit all tastes. I had a lamb curry (pieces of lamb on the bone) - similar to a traditional style of North Indian curry. The ultimate proof that Haandi serves excellent traditional Indian food was the fact that the restaurant was full of Indians.

Haandi: We went there for a weekday dinner. We thought the meal was a bit expensive for a curry restaurant, since the atmosphere of the restaurant was not exceptional. We concluded that it was the location (Knightsbridge).. The good news is that the food was very good: high quality, well executed. The open kitchen adds excitement too.

A trip to Haandi is always a worthwhile one! The best curry to be had in West London, with knowledgeable staff and a reasonable price for Knightsbridge

Haandi is an extremely accomodating restaurant. When the manager realised that our rather large group would like a section to ourselves, he immediately arranged things so that this could happen. Food portions appear small - but looks are deceiving and portions were generous. The chilli paneer is highly recommended, as is the mango lassi. Service was prompt but unobtrusive.
