I work very near by, service is always difficult as the staff do not speak great English. Food never comes all at once, and onion soup was very average with no crouton, which was strange for a french eatery. will go back as is easy for lunch, but would never go out of hours.

I fell in love with Gazette in Balham, with its quirky serving dishes, fabulous potato gratin and wonderful atmosphere. Having moved from Balham, I recently found about the sister venue in Battersea and I'm equally impressed. The potato gratin continues to impress. The french onion soup my companion had was good, slightly oversized, and under seasoned but still good. The chicken was great. My other companion claimed that the calamari risotto was the best she'd ever tasted. Loved it.

We went to Gazette on a Saturday night. The food was excellent, and portions generous. We felt a bit rushed through and from sitting down, had finished our mains within an hour, suprising given it was by no means full, though they were happy for us to sit and finish our wine.

Gazette is a very nice French restaurant by the river. We went there for late brunch and we were very satisfied. Food and service were perfect and the atmosphere relaxed and cosy. Highly recommended.

Gazette is a great place to eat and taste some amazing French food. We went down for the special offer of mussels and french fries, and indeed it was excellent! Staff are friendly and pleasant. Highly recommended on a Sunday afternoon.

La Gazette is a very nice restaurant. I love the atmosphere, the decor, all wooden tables, very warm and welcoming. The food is "comme a la maison", well not everyone's house, but you would know if you're french, those recipies that your mum was cooking at home, and the food tastes really nice. Salads and fish were great, the sole meuniere beautiful. But I for some reason, the best is the little madeleine. This is absolutely perfect. It comes with chocolate mousse, but just go for the madeleine!

Rissotto was not up to standard and the manager took it off the bill. Service quite slow with not many ocupants so would have been terrible if the place had been full.

I went to Gazette last Friday with my boyfriend for a calm evening and that was pretty much what I got. A little to calm for my liking as the food took what seemed like a eternity to get to our table. But the decor was pleasant to look and gave you that homely feel, the food was very tasty and the waitresses were very attentive. Overall it was a very pleasant experience I would recommend it and I will be returning, more prepared for the endless waiting though.

We enjoyed the most fantastic meal at Gazette. I highly recommend the scrumptious food. I had one of the best French dishes (entrecote) in England!
