Reviews of Gaucho - City

This was my 3rd visit to the city Gaucho and each time it has been a brilliant experience. The staff explain the menu's very well and the food is delicious. The extensive wine list compliments the food very well. If you appreciate good food and good service then go there. My only complaint is that the sauce with the steak is 2 pounds for a very small amount.

Enter a great venue and be more and more impressed by the service and the food, must go to Manchester next, a real winner with all six of us, and it was Monday night!!

Other than being a little bit too dark, it was an excellent meal.

Gaucho - City, started with a very warm welcome, super bloody marys at the bar, just had the mains, perfectly cooked and very tasty steaks. Asked for fried onions, not on the menu but the team looked after us with no fuss. £25 buys a good bottle of Argie red. The beer wasn't to my liking - bit yeasty. Nicely laid out eatery, plenty of room between tables, it was very busy but remained quiet enough for a chat. Recomended.

Gaucho on Bishopsgate is a firm favourate - superior service and far tastier food ...

The Gaucho Grill at City is a great place to go for a treat. I took my team there for a celebratory meal and it was perfect. The food was delicious - cooked to perfection, and the service was excellent. The waitress was very informative and friendly. The only slight criticism would be that it was slightly dark - but I suppose that added to the ambience.

We dined at Gaucho (City) for my boyfriend's birthday. He is a steak lover and was thrilled with his meal. The wine too was fantastic, as was the service.

Service was good but few and far inbetween. The Steaks were of a high quality, but ruined by the amount of salt added to everything.

Gaucho - City - Dinner for two at 6pm on a friday night. The place looks lovely and the staff were great. I was slightly disappointed with the food as had heard great things about Gaucho Grills. Had monkfish starter that was excellent, steak was ok, but chips were drenched with oil and undercooked. Not sure i would go again.

this is a lovely restaurant, although we had problems as there is a new gaucho in the city now and our booking was confused, but the staff were very helpful

Gaucho in the City is popular, and well known for its beef. The steaks are excellent and the service good. The portions are so large, starters are inadvisable! We just had steak and both thoroughly enjoyed our different cuts. The vegetables are a little overpriced but good. Definitely worth another visit.

I have been to Gaucho at Canary Wharf and had heard the city restaurant was not as good. Whilst the ambience is totally different (much sleeker and buzzy) the food was jsut as good. We had a lovely meal, and the wine was good. Service was great, and we were not rushed, were left to finish ourr drinks quietly after the meal, no pushing us for the bill etc!Only down point is that the womens loo is black with little lighting, not good for readjusting make-up...great evening, will definately return!
