really great quality steak, as you might expect, attentive & charming service, but not exactly value for money. One starter, two mains, couple of sides, one glass house red plus soft drinks = £100 incl service....................

On friday evening 8pm we dined at The Gaucho on Chancery Lane was OK...(just) We would`nt go back there in a hurry though, we prefer the Sloan Gaucho or Piccadilly restaurants, much better atmosphere and way more effecient staff who are attentive and know what they`re talking about. Of the 5 London Gauchos we`ve been to, these two are the best. We usually spend £100 for two pax which is a starter to share, a steak each, 3 sides to share, a cocktail and a glass of wine. service included.

Food was not as good as I have come to expect. My steak arrived cold. And we were kept waiting for our table for sometime.

Gaucho Grill serves some of the best steaks in town, plus an amazing range of Argentinian wines. The staff and particularly the sommelier are very knowledgable, and the ambience excellent, though the prices are somewhat steep

Gaucho at Chancery Lane has been revamped and the smart bar moved upstairs whilst dining now all happens on the ground floor. It's not clear that the shuffle has changed much -- the meat is still meaty and the service incentivised to upsell. The oddest change is the chaps with earpieces and microphone wandreing around talking into their lapels about the state of various diners progress. Most off-putting, unless they really were the CIA in there last night. There's nowhere better for steak.

concept good, but probably over priced for the fact that it is basically a steak restaurant

Visited Gaucho at Chncery Lane and had a fantastic time, food was fabulous, and service friendly and well informed on the menu and cuts of meat. I enjoyed a 'proper' margarita which got me pretty sozzled! All in all a fabulous experience that we all enjoyed and shall definitely be back!

Gaucho Chancery was a fantastic experience, food and decor great - just one thought - we were quite rushed from the cocktail we had when we arrived into dinner.

Hot fresh breads start the meal off with super salty butter and a piquant olive oil salsa. But Gaucho is all about steaks and the ones we ate were irreproachable in quality. Ultra tender meat with no tough bits of grizzle. The chocolate dessert was a vast slab of very creamy mousse. The wine list is quite extensive.

The staff were very attentive and friendly, however there was a long wait between taking our order and receiving the starter. A noisy venue which is great when dining with friends but not for a meeting with clients.

normally much better - we went for the gaucho sampler which was good but not great. The chancery lane venue has perhaps become a victim of its own success and is now very busy and noisy. But I will be going back to give it another go - it is still very good.

It was the first time I had visited the Gaucho Grill on Chancery Lane. The food was delicious, and we indulged a bit too much for a lunchtime! The staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. The had considerable knowledge of th menu and were happy to recommend the best combinations of meat and sauce. I will definatley be going there again, and next time I will make sure I try one of their fab cocktails.
