Gatwick Oriental Rest. Really good food, you get a lot for you money. I found the staff to be both efficient and friendly. We were particularly taken by the variety. Each dish was devine, will certainly go back.

The Gatwick Oriental restaurant did not have the reservation from toptable (beware future reservations, phone ahead to confirm!) but managed to immediately make up a table for us despite being virtually full with other diners. The service was very friendly and efficient, the food was absolutely excellent, especially the crispy duck, the best we'd trasted in over 20 years. Just a pity that toptable let us down.

Fairly expensive but the food was good and tasty the duck was especially good. Not bad for an airport restaurant.

Gatwick Oriental - Good food but service could be better but would put this down to being fast turn around as an airport hotel restaurant. Would recommend to anyone staying at the hotel.

The Gatwick Oriental is the ideal place to go to start your holiday. The food is good though the service was not up to its usual standard.

The Gatwick Oriental is one of Ken Hom's restaurants inside the Sofitel hotel linked to the north terminal. It felt like a hotel restaurant. The decor was a bit lacking - attempt had been made but it felt a bit clinical in setting. The food was actually very good but a bit overpriced still. Starter portions were small but dumplings incredibly tasty. Crispy duck main course went down a treat, and the chicken dish was as described but possibly a bit bland. Service fine.

Service charge excessive, fixed at 12.5% I would have given 10% max considering the food. However there is not much competition in the general area.

Our food ,served for dinner, at the Gatwick Oriental was up to its usual high standard, such as we have come to expect from previous visits, however I noticed a deterioration in the level of service coming from the - lets look out the window whilst your talking to me - etiquette manual. That plus the rather tired and old fashioned decor detracted from what should have been an excellent evening

It is very cold in the restaurant, hence the food was cold. I would have been generous in the rating if the food was properly heated.
