Saturday lunch at Gascoyne Place in Bath. Surprisingly quiet when we arrived (about 12.30) but filled up as lunchtime went on. We were in one of the more formal dining rooms - lovely decor, nice atmosphere. Bar area is darker and less striking. Food delicious, locally sourced/seasonal, tasty, beautifully presented, very friendly service. Would recommend for lunch; dinner menu looked delicious too. Very comprehensive wine list!

Gascoiyne Place Bath - lovely atmosphere in the dining rooms upstairs and a friendly vibe in the downstairs bar. Great food and good value for money.

Delighted to discover the pre-theatre menu at The Gasgoyne. Excellent value, 3 choices for each course, and the timing was impeccable, which is pretty important when you've got a show to get to. With only ten paces to the Theatre Royal, would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely cosy location for a Sunday lunch. The staff were very accomodating for our 2 babies. Sunday roast beef was tender and excellent quality

The Gascoyne offers pub food that is something of a cut-above, although the subtleties of some of the flavours the menu promised didn't always come through. Excellent and interesting wine list though. Also, I'm sure it sounded great in the bar, but the music played in the dining area wasn't the most relaxing for a meal out with your SO. The loos were lovely, with fantastic soap and hand lotion - wasn't expecting that! So, overall, a bit mixed, but would definitely go again.

Delicious food, a exciting menu with fresh local produce, nice bar area to have a drink in before and a cocktail type bar area for after dinner. The service was ok, friendly but you didn't feel the staff that attentive for the prices on the menu, a little more training would be a great benefit to dinners, ie to offer bread with starters.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Gascoyne Place! We had a really lovely evening, and found all of the staff to be friendly and welcoming. It was really nice to see so much use of local produce and the food was brilliant value for money! We stayed long after our meal was over as we found the atmosphere so welcoming and relaxed. I will definately recommend Gascoyne Place in the future, and will return for another wonderful evening.
