We went to Gabbro on a Tues night so it was really quiet, i.e. we were the only customers so the ambience was a bit hard to guage. The food was excellent, Pork fillet was very tender and the chicken cooked with saffron risotto very tasty. The desserts particulary the bread and butter pudding were fab! The service was very good too ! A lovely restaurant but needs more publicity.

We had a lovely 3 course meal with a bottle of house red and coffee. Service was very good and attentive. Not busy but it was a Thursday but two tables were taken with residents from the hotel. The only tiny tiny fault was that we did not get a little chocolate or mint with our coffee. This would have rounded off a very nice evening. On our way out we did see some chocolates on the counter so it may have just been overlooked. Although they stopped serving food at 9pm there was no hassle about leaving the restaurant.

Gabbro never disappoints, it provides excellent value for money, menus are sufficiently varied to suit everyone and the service is always friendly and welcoming. A fantastic find not to be missed.

A wednesday night meal at Gabbro My initial reaction was the ambience was not quite what I was looking for. It's a brightly lit space and feels more like a Bistro upon walking in. The Service was very friendly an effiecient with knowledgable advice on the menu. The Cassolette of scallops & tiger prawns & the Sea Bass as a main were excellent. The Steak main was good but was not the heartiest cut of meat in the world. It was nicely cooked & the sauce was delicious. Good location for Lunch.

A very pleasant atmoshere, tastefullly decorated with a friendly efficient service. Food cooked to high standard with excellent presentation. A very enjoyable evening.

We experienced a warm and welcoming reception from our very pleasant and efficient waitress who was most helpful throughout our visit. All the courses were excellent from start to finish with the P rawn and Scallop starter and Sea Bass gaining special praise. Our wine proved the perfect partner to the food and we will definately be back for more of both!

Gabbro – The food was fantastic and so was the presentation. The restaurant itself is very new, contemporary and chick. The service was second to none. Looking forward to going back. Will definitely recommend.

Excellent meal we all had the venison which melted in the mouth. Orange and mango parfait was superb. Service was attentive but not fussy. Wine list very reasonably priced. Will be going back
