The Fish Shop is an aexcellent restaurant. I have eaten there several times and never failed to be please with the meal and service. On this occasion I had a grilled cod which was cooked to perfection.

Have been twice before and it was superb, this time I was a little dissapointed with my main course but the starters were excellent as usual

starter was great, wine was great, main was ok, dessert was great, service of a particular waitress [from poland] was excellent.

Fish shop serves fresh fish at great prices perfect before sadlers wells

Our pretheatre meal at The Fish Shop on St John Street was a real treat. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and our meal was delicious. I would highly recommend for both a meal before Sadler's Wells and an evening out. Good ambience, efficient and friendly staff.

Have visited Fish Shop on St. John Street many times. Fish always fresh and tasty especially the 'fish and chips.' Seated downstairs and service not as attentive as usual. No-one there when we needed more sauce etc. Also information not passed on that we were celebrating my husband's birthday so requested desert not provided. Otherwise friendly service when there and enjoyable food.

A perfect pre-show stop for a visit to Sadlers Wells, Fish Shop was a light airy space which provided us with an excellent meal and efficient service. Probably not a place to linger on a romantic date, but a good choice at that end of Islington with a menu that suits all types. Battered haddock and chips was lovely, the more radical option (!) of herring and beetroot fresh and tasty. Recommended

We always go there prior to Sadlers Wells performances. Everything, service, food quality (and quantity) and ambience is close to pefection.
