Reviews of Firefly

Firefly on Old Bailey - food was fine (slightly over mayonaised caesar salad and not sure what was caesarish about that dressing), service was fine (friendly, though waiter messed up order but not a huge deal - argued about what was and wasn't on the menu which wasn't great but not worth wasting time on). Nice toilets. Food quick to come out. Cheap. Slightly underwhelming.

This was a return visit to Firefly. Our main complaint last time was the noise but, having made a request for a bit of peace, they switched off the speaker over our head, which was much appreciated. Both the wine and the food were affordable, of good quality and enjoyable. The loos could do with a bit of TLC (one of the locks in the ladies is bust) but, seeing as that the most I can find to complain about, you'll understand why I am happy to recommend Firefly as a good after-work venue.

Music is far too loud so hearing people speak is pretty hard!

Chips were far, far too salty! I couldn't eat any of them at all.

There was not as many choices on the menu as I remember from last time though the Sirloin was very nice and the staff very friendly.

Firefly's was a great venue for our casual business lunch. It wasn't very busy. The service was fast. The menu wasn't very large but the food was fresh, fast, and tasty.

An economical find in what can be a very expensive part of London. Great decor, polite, friendly staff and affordable, good food. We'll definitely be going back.

i booked for an early supper at 4:30pm, so they weren't busy. service was slow. many of us ordered the Thai curry. the portion was so SMALL. one tea cup of rice, 2 and a half mushrooms and 4 pieces of 50p size 8mm thick chicken in a sauce. i had guests, i was embarrassed. menu was very limited. coffee came in three rounds 10 minutes apart from each other when ordered together. probably because it was happy hour. won't go back although taste of food is quite good. many choices in that area.
