We are regulars of the Elephant Royale but didn't realise that Sundays are a Buffet. The restaurant was packed with people, a real bustling sunday lunch, not the usual relaxed and quiet setting we are used to.

Elephant Royale is my local Thai and I eat there regularly. Last night, although nearly empty we were placed at a great table overlooking the river and ate great food as always - Fish cakes and steamed dim sum followed by a Thai beef Salad fabulously igniting the senses with a definite serve of chillis which then made the green chicken appear very mild. All washed down with a very nice Muscadet

Elephant Royale - Docklands, I went with a group of 5 other colleagues, we are pleasently surprised, the quality of the food was excellent, the wine was good and well priced, the views when sunny are not bad. It is worth a trip the only let down is the service and mid week - not that many people go there. However it is worth going to, we would go back.

The food was good but the service was very average. It's a lovely place to go on a summer evening as it's right on the river, we sat outside after dinner with a cocktail and it was very relaxing.

Great location on the river. Relative to other Thai restaurants in London the food is not bad, especially at this price point. However the service is a bit iffy. I remember Thai people in Thailand being friendly, but here the staff were efficient but surly (yet regularly shared jokes with one another about customers).

Elephant royale was a very nice place to eat, the food was amazing. I would go again and recommend to friends.

Elephant Royale's Sunday Buffet lunch is the best way I know to spend a great Sunday afternoon with friends in the area. The restaurant was packed, my only recommendation would that they have more staff to serve drinks. Fantastic food and good view, as normal.
