Reviews of De Luca Cucina & Bar

Very attentive & helpful staff at De Luca, which was an intimate restaurant with open kitchen area. The chefs were only too willing to create a special dairy-free meal for me. The strazberri mule cocktail was dangerously drinkable & a bottle of malbec at £16 was great value. The only disappointment was that they were out of dessert wine. All in all though an excellent choice. My guest was impressed!

We booked in the main restaurant of De Luca Cucina & Bar but our table was right at the front in the bar area. Not bad as such, but when we asked to be moved we were told, "It's all the same". However the service did improve and was actually very good indeed. The food wasn't so great - my asparagus, egg and hollandaise starter was tasteless but mussels were good. Main courses were adventurous, but didn't quite work - one had too many strong flavours, the other not enough.

I have been to de Luca's numerous times, never have I been disappointed! We were a party of 8 having lunch on a saturday. The service was prompt, friendly and observanvt. The food was great, as it always is. All 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere - I prefer sitting through to the back of the restaurant to benefit from the added atmosphere of the visual display of the kitchen. Although, was still very pleasant. This is most definitely my favourite restaurant in Cambridge!

Excellent value with toptable. The main courses and desserts were absolutely brilliant, however a couple of starters were disappointing with slightly soggy asparagus and watery egg. However the rest of the food was excellent quality and the portions were ery generous too. Recommended with toptable offer for an exceptional lunch.

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT IN CAMBRIDGE. MY FRIEND IS VEGETARIAN AND ALTHOUGH THERE IS CHOICE TO EAT FOR VEGGIES - SHE DOESNT LIKE MUSHROOMS BUT DE LUCAS WONDERFUL STAFF AND CHEFS MADE HER A VEGETABLE PASTA DISH WHICH SHE FANCIED WHICH WAS NOT ON THE MENU! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! X

I went to De Luca Cucina and Bar over the bank holiday weekend with my boyfriend and we had a fantastic time! The food was incredibly tasty and the portions were very generous! The service was great, we had a fantastic waitress who was really friendly, helpful and knew her stuff! We took our time and weren't rushed at any point despite it getting really busy towards the end. I highly recommend it!

De Luca's is straightforward and welcoming. My prawn starter was delicious and we all enjoyed our respective dishes. Friendly service and good value for money. We had a lovely evening.

My wife & I recently enjoyed an excellent meal at De Luca Cucina Restaruant & Bar. The friendly & helpful service made us feel welcome straight away, & was attentive without ever being obtrusive. Having started with bruschetta topped with tomatoes & herbs we then shared 18 ounces of prime fillet steak on a bed of spinach, topped with melted Gorgonzola, which was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The desserts - sticky toffee pudding and limoncelli cheesecake were even better! Go there!
