Banks Bar Bistro was a lovely experience. Delicious food and great service. Great for a family treat.

Banks Bar Bistro was chosen purely at random. It was a second date for my friend & I and the atmosphere was just perfect. The menu selection was so tantalising that it really was difficult to choose. I opted for the Lamb and it didn't disappoint. Banks Bar Bistro gets the thumbs up from us both.

When we arrived at Banks Bar Bistro as a group, we were very impressed with the settng. The service we received was excellent. The food was mouthwatering. The ambience was great (helped by 2 other groups dining there as well). Everyone in my group gave 100% for everything at Banks' and would highly recommend it. Thank you for the wonderful evening from 8 very satisfied customers.

Went back after two weeks, still good food, and service quicker this time. Good value

Banks was pleasant enough, food tasted good and service was prompt even though restaurant was very busy.

Dinner at Banks Bar and Bistro on 13.6.08. Warm welcome and attentive service. Menu pretty good, and food perperation very good. Had full three course and enjoyed every one. Would recommend again.

Banks Bar Bistro - First impression was that although the decor was trying to be modern, it was sparse and could've done with a few extra touches. The Monkfish Goujons were lovely, cooked beautifully. The Crispy Confit of Duck was melt in the mouth good - high recommended. The baked Camembert was not so enjoyable, I wished I'd chosen cheescake. All in all, a nice meal, food with good potential, but more effort required to make this a really memorable dining experience.

Banks bar bistro, Bishops Waltham was an absolute pleasure. We arrived early and were seated immediately, the restaurant is very quant and inviting, the staff although young were well behaved and very respectful. The food was first class and the menu was varied and catered for all tastes. From start to finish there was not one negative point.

The first time we have used Top Table and sre very impressed withn the trouble free booking sytsem. Banks was just as described. We would never had found the place if it had not been for Top Table. The restuarant was very good apart from some what slow service, but it was worth the wait.

If there are any negatives to be drawn when it comes to Banks Bar Bistro, it is that they were quiet when we were there. Given that it was a Monday and the food was terrific, however, this can be easily forgiven! The roquefort souffle in particular tickled our fancies and the mains of all the group were excellent...perfectly cooked steaks, terrific beef fillet and a tittilating monkfish. The portions were such that puddings were beyond us. More than recommended...

Banks Bar Bistro was very smart and inviting. The food was good but my only crticism was that the tables were very squashed in and you felt you were sat on top of each other.
