Reviews of Bankfield House Country Hotel & Restaurant
Posted by Robert Hadfield (2007-04-01)
Banksfield House is proudly traditional but there is nothing stuffy about this well run and welcoming country house hotel. The sunday lunch is excellent value and the the soup (a speciality of the house) and the puddings are particularly good. We shared the restaurant with two large and jolly multi-generational parties all of whom were having a great time. The owners have worked for English Lakes hotels and also the Cumbrian Tourist Board so they know their stuff.
