Great fish special. Ended up being more expensive than we expected. Seated in back restaurant which was very quite.

Food was good, however the restaurant was empty it may have been simply because other diners were eating outside but we had a waitress all to ourselves because of it so service was great, although I must say the portions were rather on the small side.

Balls Brothers This is a perfect restaurant for good quality food that does not break the bank with effortless service in a nice, comfortable and quiet environment. The basement is split into two - an informal area and a white table-clothed restaurant. The menu is well set out with a reasonable variety to choose from. There were 15 of us dining at Balls Brothers and we arrived at 7:30pm. The evening didn't look like starting well when we were told before ordering that the cod was finished, and then on commencing ordering being told that there was only one serving of calf's liver left. Despite the lack of choice for the mains, the food was good and the service was excellent. The ambience really lets this venue down - the music didn't fit the setting and there was no real atmosphere.

Visited yesterday evening and was very pleased with it. It was quite busy an the service was good but not overbearing, menu was small but with enough to offer something for all three of us. Food was delicious and very good value for money.

Balls Brothers at Hays Galleria was reasonably priced, efficient and quick service. Have eaten in a few of their restaurants so knew what to expect. Excellent wine list. Slightly limited menu was the only drawback.
