Bacchanalia is a good city centre restaurant with good food and which serves champagne by the glass! We had a lovely meal and the ribeye steak was really good.

This is the kind of restaurant that is better suited as a bar. The atmosphere upstairs was disappointing and my chicken "special" entree was anything but. Never mind!

At Bacchanalia the Sunday lunch menu has tried to cover all eventualities and this has probably coloured my review. Snack food and al a carte was on offer, unecessarily in my mind. Most of us ordered Sunday lunch. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that there is a certain ambiance expected with Sunday lunch which wasn't really delivered. The room was cold which isn't very welcoming. The portions were a bit mean and the kitchen could probably do less work and serve veg for self service. Nice staf

Bacchanalia was pretty good, the food was really good, but average value. Atmosphere on Wednesday night was ok, but the music was a touch loud for comfortable converations (or maybe I'm getting old)

This is the first time eating at this restaurant. We arrived slightly early but were escorted to the bar for a cocktail before dinner. The meal was served timely and the food was fantastic. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and the atmosphere was very pleasant. On receiving the bill we were pleasantly surprised and was worth the money. Overall a lovely dining experience.

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and unpretentious food in a very trendy part of the city centre. Prices were average and the complimentary starter/dessert was a nice bonus. Have the whole grilled rainbow trout and the mussels!

Bacchanalia had good food with lots of fish dishes, rack of lamb is highly recommended. Waitress was very friendly although food took a while to be served. Good value for money. Upstairs isnt as nice as downstairs.
