shame the ambience was so great but the food was not and the service though good was powerful selling - we are confident but for those who were not it would be intimidating

Very enjoyable meal at Babylon on Saturday night and a great view from this 7th floor location. Service and ambience were very good, as on the whole was the food. Portions, particularly the seafood salad were a little on the light side.

Babylon at The Roof Gardens is a fantastic venue with great views of London. It's the perfect lunch spot with big glass windows and excellent, friendly staff. It was quite busy so the ambience was vibey but not too noisey. The food was good but the lunch menu sirloin was not the best. I am a meat lover so perhaps I'm too critical. The rest of the food was really good and value for money on the lunch menu. Champagne was slightly pricey. Overall a good day out. I would definitely recommend.

While it was a lovely evening we felt the restaurant was extremely overpriced. The portions were really small and my partner literally had to get something to eat on the way home. The main courses were average but the rest great.

We went to Babylon at the Roof Garden during the week for a relaxed meal. The deal menu seemed at first pretty limited - not many options - the food was well presented and pretty good and we had a good time. The view is beautiful and you can smoke from the balcony - a plus for all smokers. Service was good and on the whole, it was a very pleasant evening.

The service was warm and friendly and the food was delicious. There was a great atmosphere which was perfect for meeting with a friend to catch up, but would also have suited many occasions. After the meal we were directed down towards the roof gardens, which was a lovely end to the evening.

My friend and I went to Babylon as a treat and it was excellent service , had 3 coursee meal with wine and two champagne cocktails each for 100 pounds pp inclusive of entrance to the roof Gardens after, not cheap but excellent service and great views, however i think it would have been nice if we could have left our coats up at the restaurant rather than lugging them down and paying for them to be cloaked again

Went to Babylon at The Roof Gardens for lunch. Superb food and service on a lovely sunny day. The special offer was excellent. The drinks were a tad expensive but reflected the quality of the venue. A very enjoyable experience.

Babylon at The Roof Gardens - October 2008. The service was a bit sparse. The food was good. Starter roast quail and soft boiled quails eggs with warm salad of Jerusalem artichoke, crispy black pudding - very good. Main course: Steak and langoustine - ok, maybe a bit plain. Cheese course - not really an expansive selection of cheese, and rather anonymously appeared, no cheese trolley. Excellent surroundings.

Babylon at the Roof Gardens was the perfect venue for celebrating an anniversary. We were offered a table and asked for another which was quickly granted. The service was outstanding with lovely ambience and a musical group playing as we dined. The food was presented very nicely although the portions were on the small side, the food was high quality. The Toptable offer made things reasonable although the addition of drinks before and after made it an expensive dinner. Lovely for a special night.

Babylon is great lunch venue especially when the sun is out. We were dining outside on the terrace and had a nice view of the gardens and Kensington. Tomato and red pepper soup - gourgeous and highly tasty. Mains of risotto - same. Roast duck leg - also superb and tasty. All from a 16.50 set lunch menu! Would recommend it even if you couldn't dine outside. You can stroll along the gardens one floor below for a very pleasant afternoon.

The Babylon is a lovely venue with good service. The food was good but it would have been nice to have one more option on the set menu and desserts were rather limited.

This is my second visit to Babylon and it was just as amazing! We took advantage of the 2 courses for £16 which was much better value. Food was still gorgeous and generous in portion size, staff were attentive and those views over London are fab - you get a total different perspective in the day light. The atmosphere in the day is a business-like in comparison to the much more chilled-out, party-type atmosphere that you get in the evenings. Either way it's an experience not to be missed!

Babylon is all about its surroundings in the fantastic Kensington roof gardens. The wine list is great, but the food could be more interesting.

Babylon at The Roof Garden. This is a really fantastic restaurant, great value for money, food beautifully presented and service very attentive, but without being over bearing. Only sad thing (depends on your point of view), you can see into the mens/ladies toilets via the connecting wall if you bend down - lol. Will definatley be going back and highly recommend.
