We went to Baan Thai last night, it was lovely food and a nice friendly service. Perfect for pre-Brixton Academy dinner!

baan thai is not in a particularly nice location although convenient for the academy. food was good and green curry excellently spiced, but was rather more expensive at the end than we were expecting

Baan Thai is a pretty good option for before Brixton Academy - consistently good food, served quickly at a reasonable price. We've been twice now and would go again if in the area.

The Baan Thai was great. Couldn't fault the food or service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again when next in Brixton.

Very nice food, service was good (though there were never more than 4 people in the restaurant on this Wednesday night) and handy location for the nearby Ritzy Cinema. I would return if i was in the area.

We had a very lovely meal at Baan Thai. All of us commented on how tasty and authentic the food was. Would definitely visit again. A great place for a quick dinner before heading to Brixton Academy.

I had my Birthday Dinner at Baan Thai on Saturday and the staff and the food were really good. They were friendly and flexible. I would highly recommend the restaurant. It is fairly small so if you have a large number of people be sure to book.

This was the first time we had been to Baan Thai even though we only live round the corner as it is hidden between hairdressers and bars in Brixton, however I wish we had found this restaurant before as the food was lovely and I had one of the best green currys. The chicken satay and the squid starters are also well worth a try. The staff were really friendly and the place is ideal for an informal meal before drinks in Brixton or the cinema.

We went to Baan Thai for the first time thinking we would try somewhere new in Brixton. The service was good, the waitress and manager were very attentive and friendly. I had the Panag Kai which was rich and very tasty, my boyfriend had the Prawn jungle curry which was a little hotter than expected from the 'fairy hot' statement on the menu! Overall it was a nice place but we thought it was a little expensive compared to many other very good Thai restaurants that we have visited.

Baan Thai was packed by 7.30pm on the Friday night when we visited. Small neighbourhood Thai restaurant. Looked recently refurbished - bathroom was modern and clean. Food was tasty, fresh with lots of vegetables, but not the most authentically tasting Thai food that I've ever had. It was a good place for pre-concert food though.

Baan Thai is in a very convenient location in Brixton, great for pre cinema or gig. The service was very efficient although the waitress was quite unfriendly to the point that it was actually quite amusing. The food was good - nothing special, but good nonetheless and we will definitely go back. Be warned, it's not especially cheap for what you get. £30 for 2 excluding alcohol.

We went for a meal before going to see a concert at the nearby Brixton Academy. The service was attentive yet not intrusive. Food was really good, great portion size (we all left feeling stuffed) masamum curry was a little sweet but overall everyone had a good time and would recommend as somewhere to eat before a gig at the Academy

Went to Baan Thai for a pre-concert dinner - nice food, good service. Overall, a good thai restaurant and we would go back if in the neighbourhood.

Great little Thai place extremely well placed if you're going to the Academy. Tasty, good service and good value for money.

Four of us dined at baan thai on a monday and it was quite busy. Overall the food was quite fresh and tasty but nothing exceptional, although the duck in tamarind sauce was excellent. 4 starters, 4 mains, rice, 2 bottles chablis and service was £110 which is quite good value. Would return.

Baan Thai is one of the best restaraunt's in Brixton by far. the food is delicious, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is really friendly. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat with friends and thoroughly recommended.

Baan Thai is a perfect place to have a tasty unpretentious relaxing meal with friends. The food's amazing, the staff are lovely and the location is great. Very welcoming atmosphere - highly recommended!

Ok, I know I was pretty pumped after finally nailing that four-months-of-sweat contract, and excited about the prospect of Ian Brown at the Brixton Academy later that night, but 'Baan Thai' - a genuine oasis on the charming Coldharbour Lane - is a true gem; a lovely place. The toptable reviews had already raised hopes of us enjoying a really decent Thai meal, but it was even better than that. Tasty, 'clean' and wonderfully fresh food, and just-right polite, relaxed and efficient service.

Baan thai was ideal for a quick bite before heading to Brixton Academy but a bit low on atmosphere especially for a Friday night. The food itself was delicious and good value.
