I love the styling of this place, great for a group of you if you want to do something a bit different. You eat with your hands too. The flavour of the food was lovely though i did think some of the meat dishes were slightly over cooked. On this occasion i decided not to complain. The native beer was exceptional too. I would go back ;O)

Adulis is great for a different dining experience. Have been many times, especially when have friends visiting London. Even so, I still manage to order too much food every time! It's all about sharing and eating with your hands so don't go if you have any issues with that. Also, it's not the place if you're in a rush because everything takes a bit of time. There's always a good atmosphere though so it's nice to sit back and enjoy it.

Another very enjoyable evening at Adulis. Only gripe was the lack of hand towels in the toilets, other than that the food and atmostphere were all great and even the service seemed slightly more on the ball than usual.

My wife and I love Adulis: http://www.adulis.co.uk/. Third time was just as good as the previous two. Still have not tried the special coffee on offer, so a good reason to return soon. The classic "dorho" (chicken) pleased our palates as always. The spinach is outstanding. We had "mini kirchat" (selection of dishes) and they were happy to modify the offerings slightly to our preference. Go. Eat. Enjoy. Bring friends. We shall return to this great eatery.

Adulis is a fantastic restaurant if you want something a bit different. Experiencing Eritrean cuisine for the first time was fantastic, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a something different in London.

I brought a group of work colleagues to Adulis. The evening was a great success. Fantastic service as usual. Many of the group are planning to return.

The food at Adulis was quite authentic, the service was very friendly, but make sure you request non-spicy food when ordering as some of the dishes are very hot...make sure you order the Asmara beer.

Went to Adulis for a catchup with five friends. Wonderful value for money and a really different eating experience sharing several varied Eritrean dishes from enormous communal platters while drinking beer imported from Eritrea's capital city - and the wonderful authentic African coffee. Don't expect much in the way of cutlery - be prepared to eat with your injera and get stuck in!!

This was our second dinner at Adulis, the decor is great, food is different and interesting, and its a great place for a big group to share. Eating with your hands is definitely a novelty! Service was friendly and efficient.

we went to Adulis on a saturday night and it was really buzzy with a mixed relxed crowd. The food was different but not fabulous but the prices were reasonable and the staff were nice. I doubt i'll go back but i had a great night (although that was probably more down to the company than the restaurant!)

Had a tasty meat and veg combo for two, enjoyed eating with our hands and candle lit ambience was pretty good! Service was friendly and attentive. Only thing I would suggest to Adulis is installing some comfy seating for laid back group style dining, or sharing those big combos then lying back and digesting with their special ethiopian coffee...

Went to Adulis on Friday 16th November. Nice atmosphere and the food was pretty good. We went for the meat platter though I think I would have been happier just going for the lamb curry which was delicious. The service was a little unattentive but in a way suited the atmosphere in the restaurant. I felt that the wines were over-priced given that they were very much supermarket level brands. However, the meal was pretty unusual (notable lack of cutlery!) and is worth the experience.

Adulis has a very laid back feel about it and I loved the fact that there were no knives and forks and that you could get back to basics. For me it was a place where you would take friends and not a place for a romantic meal but a very enjoyable experience non the less. The food was moderately priced. Worth a visit
