Went here for the second time and the food was brilliant!! the service was quicker this time round and the hostess was very friendly. Would definitely go there again to try the buffet:)

After reading the reviews my partner and I decided to take our vegetarian friends here. The food was excellent, fresh! well prepared and hot. The service was pleasant and friendly but very slow we were waiting for our food for 40 minutes! I would definitely go there again for the food!!!

Aangan was superb. Lovely food and good service. The waiters weren't in your face but always there when you needed something. I spent a week in India last year and I can honestly say the food at Aangan was exactly the same and brought back some excellent memories. We ordered a selection of food and we weren't disappointed with any of our choices. We were a party of 5 and everyone came away with excellent reviews. We will definitely be going back.

Aangan – Feel at Home. Excellent food, tasty and spicy - you don't have to be vegetarian to enjoy. Service is friendly and relaxed; so don’t be in a rush in the evenings (there’s a buffet at lunchtime). Ambiance is rather ‘canteen’, so not for a romantic evening. Kids welcome.

This was our second visit to Aangan, but won't be our last. The food here is lovely, and this time we had Dosa (Potato for me, Cheese for my wife) for our main course and it was superb (and huge !).

Aangan has introduced a buffet which at lunchtime is under £6 (I think in the evening it is a little more expensive, but it's still excellent value). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try good, real, Indian food. It's vegetarian, but you really won't miss the meat. Food is spicy and wonderfully tasty.

Aangan doesn't have the best location in the world but don't let that put you off! The food was great value and as good, if not better, than similar dishes I had in India last year. Definitely recommended.

Aangan in Reading is a great little restaurant. The vegetarian menu is really varied and interesting and the service was great - not intrusive at all - we spent over 3 hours there in the end. It was a bit quite bit I imagine this is due to it being mid week. Well worth a visit

My girlfriend and I went to Aangan last Friday night and booked without paying any attention to the fact that the restaurant is vegetarian, so you can imagine my/our surprise! We did consider leaving to get some carnivorous food elsewhere but in the end thought - what the hell! We weren't disappointed - the food was great and I can really recommend the vegetable samosa in the starter section. The service was really friendly and I would seriously consider going again even though I love meat!

Aangan - feel at home provides great value, flavoursome Indian food. It could use some work on ambiance, even turning down the lights would help.

Aangan is an unusual restaurant. The menu makes a refreshing change from the typical anglicised Indian menu found in most Indian restaurants. There is a good variety to choose from. We had several dishes to share between us, and they were all good. The decor is quite stark, but not unpleasant, just a different style. Nice at this time of year that is wasn't full of Christmas parties, mainly couples and families having a quiet meal out.

Once again, the food at Aangan was wonderful - very tasty, very spicy and totally authentic. Very highly recommended for authenticity and taste; if you have been to India, or have dreams of going, you will love this restaurant.

Aangan is a vegetarian restaurant specialising in both south and north Indian cuisine. It's opposite the Hexagon in Reading - not the best area of town but the restaurant is well worth a visit for the delicious food. Both my husband and I thought the food was absolutely fantastic and intend to visit often while we are in the area. It is unusual to have a choice of proper Indian desserts in a restaurant but they were delicious and authentic. This is proper Indian cuisine, cooked perfectly.
